Might go and make some strong coffee, cant face food yet, might hurl!

Love to all how needs it,
    Have a good day,
    Al.

Not feeling good today. Coming down with something just a few days before I'm due to be a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding.

Drinking a ginger infusion with honey and eating porridge to try and beat it off.

Didn't sleep well either as I've got something major on my mind

    Hello everyone:hello:

Haven't been on for a few days. I've had the most dreadful flu type thing. My voice is gone (everybody likes that bit:D) and I generally feel like crap. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Didn't do much OS today. Just the basics in between resting. Will have to go and do some shopping tomorrow. It's a bit like Old Mother Hubbard at our place. ;) Well I am off to bed. Hope you all have a nice day and :grouphug: to all that need them.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Afternoon all

Working today - one's asleep and the other has just gone home, so 10 mins peace until lunch time begins.

DH got up at some unearthly hour to go to London for a meeting this morning, DD's really didn't want to be of any use and nearly ended up being late for the walking bus.

Finally sorted my salt dough out at about 10pm last night - it turned out really well, I did a nifty little trick of cutting a hole in a bigger shape and placing a boiled fruit sweet in for the last 30 mins...the sweet melted and looks like a stained glass panel...very effective.

Making pizza for tea tonight for me and DD's - no idea what time DH will be home so he can have it cold if he's hungry.

Not working tomorrow so want to try and get up to date with everything tonight so that I can spend the whole of tomorrow doing crafty stuff with no guilty feeling that I should be doing something else.

Hope you all feel better soon.

Hi Yall, Just tucking into left over HM apple crumble by way of lunch.

    The day so far...

Kidz dropped at school with a lunch box full of HM goodies. I often pack them a little tub of grated carrot 'n' cheese instead of a chocolate bar. Yesterday a mum stopped me to ask where I buy these 'healthy' snack pots from:D We know the answer to that one don't we fellow Ol'stylers:D

One load of washing, drying, ironing done. Currently sitting on my bed waiting to be put away.

20min blitz (I call it that but it usually takes 40:rolleyes: ) done.

Bread made. Plain yoghurt made for tonights dinner. Strawberry yoghurt may have to wait until tomorrow.

Sherry trifle half compiled for tonight.

Tonight is roasted vegetables tossed through with HM yoghurt, garlic and herbs with lemon and mint flavoured cous cous.

Online banking done and Christmas budget checked and printed out for Mrs MATH's approval. Piggypoints for today accrued and stooze pot oohed and ahhed over.

Well my crumble has almost gone so it's back to work. I've got a big bag of windfalls from a friend who's repaying a favour so I may peel, core and blanche those.

I may schedule half an hours read before bobbying up to school. I've got the "How to buy and run your own sucessful small hotel" book from the library. I feel like I'm already doing it actually, just need to get them all to pay:D

Have a good day - luv MATH

  • Hi All

Feeling a bit blue at the moment, my BF was taken in hospital on Saturday with a very slow heart rate. :( He's still in and they're doing tests. They don't know why his heart should do this then return to normal .

Funny though managing to get loads of OS done I suspose it keeps me busy and doesen't give me to ponder.

Sorry not to have anything positive to say. But hopefully will report back later with something more postiive.

Hugs to everyone needs them :grouphug:

Hope you all have a good day

Just got back from an afternoon shopping and I'm shocked to say that even though I went for some retail therapy & Christmas shopping I've spent LESS than £20 including £2 bus fare  :j Most of that has actually gone on food (huge jars of jams in Home bargins so I got one to make jam tarts :D) Went into Shoe Express, Woolworths, numerous charity shops, Peacocks, Card Warehouse and didn't buy anything! Bought all reduced stuff from Iceland (all 3 items) and spent most of my shopping trip saying to myself "I can make that cheaper at home" "I've seen them cheaper somewhere else" "Thats not worth that much money" :money: So thats a trip to town (Less than £20 including a bus pass at £2.10, but I ordered a Xmas pressie for DD which will only cost me £9.99 instead of £19.99 :D ) and a trip today shopping and I still have a £20 note in my purse

Got to go and pick DD up - going to call into the Co-op to see if they have anything reduced ;)

  • Nicki you are a woman after my own heart! I also find I keep looking at things thinking "thats not worth the money" and Home Bargains is my mums favourite shop.
I bought some Polly Pocket things for my DD's birthday in two weeks time from there, and then paid a trip to Toys R Us and couldn't believe what they were charging for their Polly Pockets. Also DD1 wanted "Magnetix" which I thought was a bit expensive, but I got loads of it last Christmas for a fraction of Argos/Toys R Us prices. I find myself worrying that our local Home Bargains may close down! (I dont think they will judging by how busy they are) but they are the only one down here, I think they are mainly northern based. I think if they ever did close my mum would have to relocate up north! :rotfl:
