Busy day today - Sold £54+ worth of stuff on ebay and I need to get it all packaged up and ready to go to the post office later on (when the child benefit rush has finished  ) Fortunately I also have a rather large "parcel" that doesn't need posting - I've finally managed to sell the majority of our baby equipment for £41 with "to be collected" as the postage option. Not what we would have liked for it but it will pay for some Xmas pressies so I'm not too worried. Plus by the time I've finished getting rid of all the ebay stuff I should actually have space in my understairs cupboard for me to put all the DIY stuff which will then let me have a cupboard in my kitchen back  Or at least thats the theory.
DD is off to school - glad to say she ate all her packed lunch yesterday so I've sent her in with the same thing and she watched me make it this time so she shouldn't complain about what she has got!
One load of washing is done and out on the line hanging but not blowing - might have to be another trip to the laundrette but I'll see how I get on with the washing. Another load is in the machine and up to spin cycle so that should be done soon. Still got loads to do
Oh well... off to wrap parcelsCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Hi everyone
Deposited kids at appropriate schools, then nipped home, put DW on, did 20 whip round then went and did mystery shopping job. Went to see mum, but she wasn't in so nipped in her attic and removed two new kitchen knives and my sister's guitar (well, the ceiling's about to fall down, so doing her a favour really) Went up for my ice skates, which I still can't find
Done some shopping - went to Booths as they sell 'different' things, so got my fenugreek (the seeds but have pestle and mortar) Also treated myself to some proper vanilla extract with seeds in - yum. Went to buy some loaf tin liners at kitchen shop and bought electronic scales as were less than 1/2 price. They are a really expensive shop anyway so will check I've not been 'done', cos can take them back if not suitableHalf the money is birthday pressie money from my sis which she still hasn't given me. Maybe she'd like to contribute the rest and that will be Xmas too
Had free lunch - ate at mum's whilst I was thereTea will be sausages, I think. Bought some nice ones from the market, but he hadn't any lamb and mint ones which is what I really wanted.
Have a good day

There's a lesson there for all of us out in gentle Ol'Style land. NEVER EVER let Ticklemouse know where you live or let on where you hide your key:rotfl: Glad you've had a productive day 'borrowing' TM;)
Threw the kidz out at school and bobbyed off to Tesco this morning. Spent £50 which is a lot more than normal and I don't really know what on. Was going to treat us to some lamb for Sunday but the price is dailight robbery so go two turkey drumsticks for £1.98 instead. I think the turkey they came off was a distant relative of Vernon Kay cos they are massive.
Bread is made, yogging in progress, jobs done. Bottle of wine calling me from the fridge. Kidz calling me from school. Which one should I answer first I wonder?:rolleyes:Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -

Hi everyone, :hello:
Well, I'm back again briefly. I'm having a 'mare of a time trying to post as we don't have our internet access up and running at home yet and the library is only open late on a couple of evenings a week. And it's a case of trying to remember what evenings they are!!!
Anyway, we're settling in nicely AND I'm working quite a bit too. I'm working 5 days this week, which means a little bit of cash coming my way - hurrah! We're also still managing to cook "old style" (ish) and the vinegar is out in force in our new house!
I went to a wedding fair at the weekend and my mum was passing out at the price of wedding dresses - and then at the price of bridesmaid dresses. Then we'll need to be fed......................... ah well.
Anyway, I'd better go as my time is very nearly up.

Hello all!
Today I managed to plant the Rhubarb plants my neighbour gave me.There were about 4We nipped into the library as usual this afternoon.I decided to make chicken pie for tea today which we've already eaten(we eat around 5pm as OH is sometimes late and never rings to tell me,so not worth waiting). We usually have roast chicken as the first meal from a whole one but I thought I'd see how far it stretches by making chicken pasta, stew, pie etc this week.We had home grown spuds and french beans ,bought carrots and broccoli, with it.Im just off for a cuppa then will do stuff in the garden and watch the unteachables.

Hi everyone!
Have had a very busy day today. Washing done and bathroom cleaned before doing the school run. Did my normal hours at work and then whizzed home to do the lunches [made choc cruchies as realised we'd run out of cake] and prepare the tea [bangers and mash]. Then back to school to pick up the small person from gardening club. He's very proudly brought home some very elderly runner beans he's picked which he's desperate to have for tea tomorrow. MMM delicious! Oh well nustn't complain- free food he must be an old styler in the making! To finish it here I am back at work again!!
We have had some good news over the last couple of days though. OH who has set up his miniatures business since he was made redundant has been asked for an interview by one of the magazines and his sister has asked him if he would like to help her on an ad hoc basis hanging the curtains she makes. It's all a step in the right direction. :j
