The Dialabroad website obviously shows the cost incorrectly (although it's right half the time) and the CallChecker's automatic nightly trawl has erroneously picked it up.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Does anyone knows how come not every provider is listed in the callchecker.
A few weeks ago I received a textmessage with a extremly cheap rate for India. From that moment I'm using that service, but I can't find it in the callchecker.
Are all known providers listed in the callchecker? Or is this just an selection?
I already tried to sent a mail to report another provider, but it didn't work.0 -

I have not heard about this occuring from Virgin lines, but we have a handful of customers who have experienced the problem when using our 0207 access number from their mobiles to make international calls. The service provider charges them for the full rate international call rather than the cost of a regular UK landline call. In all cases, a quick call to the service providers customer service has solved the problem, although sometimes you will need to ask to speak to supervisors/managers to get somebody with authority.
Here is a link to Virgin's non-geographic calls price guide which should help:

Hi, I want to use Dialabroad's service to call my boyfriend in the US. His number starts 001908 - will the service work with this no? And will it cost him anything to receive my calls? Sorry if this has been answered before!

Yes, it'll work (the 00 is our international access code and the 1 is the country code for the USA and Canada).
If that number is a mobile (cellphones in the USA have 'ordinary' numbers so you can't tell), he will have to pay to receive your call. If it's a landline, he won't.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Thanks, so the charge he'll have to pay will be the same as if I had rung him from my mobile without using Dialabroad? Sorry for all the q's!

Do you call him from just a mobile,or do you call him from a landline.Calling 0844 numbers from UK Mobiles is also very expensive.
Some UK Call Suppliers offer inclusive calls to USA.Do you have a landline who are you with.0
