Thinking of Grilling myself and my family

I had a client who killed him self a week before he was due to complete on a mortgage which would have reduced his outgoings by two thirds and all his worries would have gone with it. He'd just had enough.
It's not nice and it leaves devastation for family and extended family and friends.
It's nothing to joke about.I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -

Fear not. I don't think that some of their comments have been fully thought through. Squat Now's comment that 50% of the population would die following a military coup overlooked some of the instructions in 'The Dummy's Guide to World Domination'. The advice there is clear that following the coup, the 'useless third of the population' (as defined by Douglas Adams) should go first to balance the needs of the people with the limited resources available. This typically means Benefits Blaggers, Squatters, etc.
Householders would be seen as contributing to the overall well-being of the state and would be immune.

I'd second that. I took your lead from yesterday and I went through the threads he'd started. After his thread start of 22/05 headed "feel like crying..." I took it seriously.DD sent a post two minutes after this one in the pensions thread, so I suspect he thinks he is either being funny/provoking discussions.
Nevertheless I still worry that there are some people out there who do really feel suicidal and will still post accordingly even if a possible wind up.
I was particulaly concerned that DD mentioned his children and killing of in the same sentence.
I'm afraid I for one don't appreciate the OP's post.
Hence, even though my disability prevents me being huggy, I put a lot of effort into choosing my words carefully (as I usually p155 people off if I try to do a huggy thing)
Oh well, if it's a wind up, I got to practice my huggy stuff.0 -

It must be desparate times when we are reduced to quoting the squatnow brigade.FREEDOM IS NOT FREE0 -
sorry - took the point that suicide may not be a lighthearted discussion. But after reading three threads back to back on this board that were laden with doom, gloom and death camps, the thoughts "Jesus Christ, people must feel like topping themselves after reading that lot". So I made the ratehr rash decision to vent a little.
I've changed the topic from suicide to canibalism, which as I'm sure you agree is a topic that lends itself to humour much more than suicide.
Thanks to those people who offered support - it was very touching. I didn;t realise that there were so many caring people on this board (the house price board) - perhaps the doom-mongers who dominate give a wrong impression?
Sorry for any offense caused, but by God it's a miserable board you have here!Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

If you go through with your second course of action...

I couldn't bear for my family to have to fight through a civil war or live in 'death camps' situated in dissused aircraft hangers and so have decided to end it all before this occurs.
The people who make these posts seem to be articulate and intelligent, so surely they're right? Why else would they post this information if it was not because they really feel this will happen. I just couldn't bear the loss of everything I have worked for - my pension, the house, my LCD widescreen TV.
Goodbye harsh world!
The OP has now edited his original post (quoted above), so clearly thinks the subject is one to joke about.
Dithering Dad, anyone that could even joke about killing themselves or their children is sick. You do not deserve to be a parent. Your children must be thoroughly ashamed of you.
Sorry if that seems harsh to anyone, but anyone that could even joke about killing their children is evil (or ill).Gone ... or have I?0 -
If you are considering suicide would you please ensure that you pay off your debts in this country, ensuring your tax affairs are up to date, and take yourself and your family abroad to carry out the deed.
Public services are stretched as it is...........
Good luck.0
