Removing Verruca with Duct Tape?

Please everyone, try Thuja tablets from your local health food shop. My daughter had over 50 verrucas on her feet by the age of 10. We tried all the usual ointments and freeze treatments and nothing worked very well at all. Some of the verrucas were getting quite large and it was beginning to affect her walking, she was also becoming increasingly embarrassed.
On chatting with a colleague they mentioned that Thuja tablets and oil had worked well for them. I googled it and it the reports online were positive so I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately I could not get the oil that you are supposed to rub on the verrucas, however, I did get the tablets. They are high does to begin with and we followed the instructions closely. Two weeks later the verrucas all went very black and the 'cores' seemed to pop outwards, it was as though the verrucas were 'bulging' out of her foot. By four weeks they were gone! What's more they have nevere returned (she is now 12).

This may sound reallt weird but it has worked on 3 people I know who have tried it -
Cut a piece of banana skin big enough to cover verucca. Place it white side against the verucca and stick it in place with a plaster. Leave for 24 hours. When you remove it, you will see the 'good' skin pulling away from the black core. You can then scrape out the verucca (gross I know). You might have to re-apply new banana skin after the first 24hours if the verucca has not opened up enough.
This probably wouldn't be a good idea for multiple veruccas, as I would think it would get a bit uncomfortable with lots of banana skin stuck to your feet:D0 -
Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread but I'm beginning to get fed up with my verruca and would like some input.
I've had it for about 9 months now, it's on the pad on my foot, under my big toe so a weight bearing position.
I've been trying Bazuka gel for months, rubbing it down with a foot file, bee to the chiropodist etc.
I tried the Duct tape solution but the tape won't stay on due to the location.
Would some other method of stopping the oxygen getting to it work, for example painting it with nail varnish or even gloss paint?
I have been attacking it with a scalpel recently but that's getting a bit tender now...........

Can't you get it frozen at your gp's surgery?0 -
I can vouch that the duct tape worked for my son (aged10).
We put a small piece on then covered it in a regular plaster so he wouldn't be embarrassed at school in PE.
I took photos every week, it started shrinking and coming 'out' of his foot.
We persevered and it kept shrinking, until it went altogether.
We carried on taping it for another week to make sure & it's never come back.:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
My sons still have not got rid of their's they are worse than ever. The person who eventually solves how to reliably get rid of these will make an absolutely fortune. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

My son had veruccas and warts on his hands for about 3 years, we tried everything, then we were out walking and someone told us to put his hands in some algae water, which we did out of grandparents pond, within 3 weeks, they had all dropped off on his hands, and about a month later, the veruccas disappeared aswell. Not sure how true it is, but worth a shot if you are desperate.0
