I want to make some microfiber towels for a camping family member, these towels are extremely expensive, about £25.99. I was wondering if I could make my own but can't find a supplier online, has anyone any clue where I can buy this fabric by the metre or has anyone already made some?

bumping as i have been on a quest to do this too!

I always try and cross stitch presents, but run out of time so have lots of projects not finished, so have decided that next year will be the year to give them as presents.
I have a list of who I need to stitch for, and what design I am going to buy or finish for them.
Hopefully by starting now I will have loads of time to do them.
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

A poster a good few pages back, was talking of a foodie gift thread.. ...

Anyone know if it's up & running yet cuz if I go for a wander thru the indexes, I'll be gone for YEARS!:D Unless I leave a trail of shredded tissue so I can find my way back again:rotfl:

I've just had a look at the Candi Gifts site and they've got some really nice hat boxes on there. They do sell them singly, but I'm going to get a set of 5 (£12!!!!) for my Mum and another for my sister, fill each one up with pressies and stack 'em high. Nice big bow and job done! And I know my Mum will love them in her bedroom after - she's been looking for something like this for ages....

    When I've finished I'll post a piccie!

Wooh £6.99 postage is pretty steep!!!!

Fast foodie I looked into doing something similar as a sweet hamper for my OH and the children. I found some heart shaped boxes somewhere and planned to use 3 on each one and fill each one with sweets then tie with ribbon. Only problem was that I then decided to do something different so that plan went out the window. Good luck.

For hat boxes like that try your local wedding shop or somewhere as you will get them cheaper than that and it will cut out the postage which as was said above is very high!

Good site for ideas, definitely think you can get the boxes cheaper elsewhere once you calculate in postage - it's definitely a bit steep!
