I have just found this web site, it has loads of great gift ideas, from nappy cakes to cookie boquets to gift hampers.

I can't believe that anyone would actually pay for one of their 'pet gift hampers'. How expensive are they !!!!!

I quite like the look of these bottles for Xmas gifts:

Maybe I will buy some to make homemade vodka (the kola kube flavour sounds fab, maybe lemon sherbet would be nice as well)

  • Havent posted on here for a few days (well not this thread!) so an answer for those rainbow crayon cakes- (think! i got it from a website posted on here, but cant remember!) They are basically crayons, but what you do if use broken crayons (well any crayons, but its a good way to get rid of the broken ones!) with paper taken off, put them in cake cases, (100 for 19p at sainsburys!) and then put them in oven till they melt, leave them to set till they go hard and voila you have crayons (in the shape of cakes!) Since i am also going to do a baking basket for my cousin (an idea pinched of rustyflange- thank you!) i thought they would be brilliant!
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

I want to make some microfiber towels for a camping family member, these towels are extremely expensive, about £25.99. I was wondering if I could make my own but can't find a supplier online, has anyone any clue where I can buy this fabric by the metre or has anyone already made some?

Have you looked on ebay they had some for a whole lot cheaper than that - between £5-10. We're getting them for our survival packs.

  • Thanks you all for your comments regarding the hat boxes. I thought the postage was really reasonable. I've not found anyone else shipping by courier for £6.99. Most wholesalers are £10-£15 or more. Anyway, I've ordered some so I'll keep you posted as to what they're like. (And I'll be able to let you know how long it takes to get them!). I got the ribbon while I was there too so at least no more postage to pay...

You all seem to have such good ideas on here. The survival packs sound good. What are you putting in them Sethsgran?
