Thanks rainmac, car wash bucket would be a good one as you can make them up quite cheaply can't you. Might try the sweet caddies this year as well and then they can keep the caddy afterwards and I never thought of the mag subscription-thanks rainmac. Done the handprints for hubbie but might try it for grandad.

  • for my husband on fathers day i made two little scrap books only ten pages each and they didnt take to long either
we did top ten reasons to have kids and top ten reasons not to have kids and decorated each page so for example
    reasons to
there sleeping peace full faces, so i took pictures of my children asleep and put them on that page
and reasons not to were the amount of money they need - so i cut out loads of paper money and got them to stick it on the page
each one was made on coloured card so it was bright, and had a front and back cover the front had a picture of the children for reasons not to i added devil horns!!!
and a lovely poem on the back page
they went down well as the children adn me had put a lot of thought in to them

we also took a photo of my husband and the children and turned it into a puzzle

made fairy cakes and wrote on them with icing

and did handprints either side of a poem and put it in a frame and hey presto a lovely gift for the price of the frame (59p) in wilkinsons, i did this for my dad when i was in nursery and we still have it

if anybody would like the top ten reasons and poems pm me with your email address and i will send them straight to you

I made up a car wash bucket for my dad's birthday, cost £12 but could have easily done it cheaper, but my dad was worth the extra ;) . I got the bucket from Tesco for 97p and inner bits from Tesco and Wilkos. You can bulk it out with a few sponges - if you buy value ones they are only about 25-30p each.

Ohhh good luck! I've just been having a look at their soap and bath bomb making stuff. I really don't have the time to do anything now but thinking about it for an idea for birthday pressies for next year. Loads of people are getting bath salts from me this year so can maybe have soap next year;)
