  • if anybody is doing a gardening basket then woolworths had packets of seeds and bulbs reduced to 25p a ring of garden candles £2, fairies 25p and loads of children gardrening stuff also reduced

i got alot of stuff for my mums basket
3 packets of seeds which im going to take out of the paper packets and put into nice cellophane bags (but put the packets in the bottom of the basket )
    2 packets of bulbs
and 2 faries for £1.50 so her basket is already nearly finished

this basket making is sooo addictive
    xxxxx:o

    and so is this thread!!!!!

I'm tempted to have a go at bath bombs but darent take anything else on.........taking me long enough to get door hangers done, then I've got handbag pegs to do for grandaughter, then pickled bums..............

Thats without working out who's having what in which basket or box - oh eck...........thats another thing.........going to have another 6 shoe boxes to cover

I feel the same Mary, would love to have a go at bath bombs but they sound like they need special attention to make sure you do it right and at the moment there's too much stuff on the go to try this too.

I think its best if I leave bath bombs til next year ;)

By next year rainmac everyone will have had a door hanger so I'll be looking for something different to do.
(Glue nearly dry on the hanger I did this afternoon and its looking ok.......so, s*d painting them............I'll carry on with the paper and cut the hole out first..................lol)

Oh..........am going down to see Mum in couple of weeks but looked on Colemans site and it says theyre only open for retail at weekend (least I think thats what it said)....they've got a website up now but haven't got everything on it by the looks of it.

Snap, I'm doing door hangers and bath salts as my main pressies I'm making this year so would like to try other things next year. I can see me getting in a right mess with bath bombs but would like to give it a go :rotfl:

I think Coleman's are only open at weekends - maybe only Saturdays? I've only ever been on their big event days (last Saturday in month) and always got 20% off price of full price goods. Makes quite a difference!

I shan't be at Mums till weekday but the lady at Colemans did say if I saw anything on the internet to let her know and if they'd got it they could send it to the Wellingborough shop for me so I might be ok. I'll have to ring her next week.
I need to get stuff actually finished off so I know where I am...........so many bits and pieces 'half done' kicking around at the minute.............thought I'd managed to fill a jar of pickled bums this morning then couldn't find any more old tights......................lol Typical !

I've just made a heart, stuffed with cotton wool balls and dried lavender from my garden. Will look nice enclosed with any gifts I give (hopefully!!!) I am going to make two small hearts and they will be shoe fresheners!

    Here it is

That looks lovely. Probably a really dense question but how do you dry lavender? We've got a big lavender bush in the garden so i could easily dry some (if i knew how!!)

    Thanks
