www.bliss.org.uk
To help support babies who are born premature or sick.
Parents with premature or ill children need all the support they can get as it's hard enough dealing with the day to day medical matters without having to worry about finances as well.0 -
I would like to nominate Kings Church International
www.kcionline.org
They are a genuine, long established group that care for people of all ages, backgrounds and races in the UK and abroad.
They not only offer spiritual help, but hands on practical help
For example, they have been reaching out to younger children, often from under privileged areas, with a weekly Kidz Klub for over 7 years. They pay for the double decker buses to bring them there and take them back and give them 1 1/2 hours of fun and mayhem!
They support food, water, education and health to some of the poorest people groups in areas of Africa and Sri Lanka.
They are a group worthy of your support.0 -
a.) ProjectScotland
b.) www.projectscotland.co.uk
c.) Helps young people change their lives helping others.
c.) ProjectScotland aims to deal with unemployment and disengagement with society amongst young Scots. By engaging with 16-25 year olds throughout Scotland, the charity matches them with charities and non-profit organisations, enabling them to volunteer full-time for a period of 3-6 months. ProjectScotland makes sure the young people receive supervision and training throughout, as well as giving them a fully trained mentor, to support them and help them make decisions about their future. ProjectScotland helps charities and young people work together; the charities gain much needed volunteer support and the young people develop the skills and experience they need to move on to education, employment or training. They also gain a sense of pride and responsibility, becoming more active members of their local community.0 -
Sumatran Orangutan Society
https://www.orangutans-sos.org
Conservation of the critically endangered Sumatran orangutan
This charity works with local people living near the last remaining orangutan habitat in Sumatra, with environmental education and regeneration projects. They have now planted over a quarter of a million tree seedlings in degraded forest areas. It costs just £1 to plant a tree seedling, so a donation from this fund would go a really long way. They also have OranguVans which visit schools and communities to encourage local people to look after their forests.0 -

The George Meredith Trust
www.georgemeredithtrust.org.uk
Aiding people with disabilities participate in outdoor pursuits.
This charity was set up following the tragic death of young George Meredith who was killed in a climbing accident whilst on a family holiday.
It is a small charity with a big heart.
They help disabled people enjoy activities that most people take for granted.
Their outlook on life is "disability does not mean inability"
A great charity to support!0 -
I would like to nominate the following charity -
1. Hope and Homes for Children
2. www.hopeandhomes.co.uk / www.hopeandhomes.org
3. Giving hope to children who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable.
4. I have been closely involved with this charity, and last May I went on a trip to the Ukraine to see the difference they make to childrens lives. The underlying principle of their work is to keep the family unit together as far as possible or to create loving family units around a foster couple/family, and they are working with the governments of countries to help establish a best practice model for closing the state institutions. I saw some horrifying sights that moved me to tears, but these experiences were outweighed by the smiling faces of the children who have been given a home and a family. They also establish mother and baby units to help young mothers without family support to stay with their children.
Too much to say here about the amazing work they do, please please please consider them for some support.

I support Chloe's appeal: I've received a dog and he's changed my life (for the better!).
Christine FrancesI'd like to nominate the UK charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
www.hearingdogs.org.uk
Providing assistance dogs for severely/profoundly deaf people
This UK charity trains mostly rescue and unwanted dogs to become registered assistance dogs for deaf people. The dogs alert by touching the owners knee and leading to the sound if it is safe to do so. Many people say these dogs have given back independence, confidence and companionship when the loss of hearing or hearing impairment had started to mean social isolation, family stress, employment problems and depression. The charity relies totally on public support, receiving no statutory funding and making no charge for their service. It costs over £5000 to train each dog and the charity supports both the person and the dog throughout their working lives together.0 -
Working hard to conserve British wildlife from extinction.
www.wildwoodtrust/org
Wildwood caters for all, lets you realise what nature is about and experience close encounters with native wildlife in an environment that is close to nature, welcoming thousands of schoolchildren to use their unique animal collection and ancient woodland setting to understand better the nature process of life. Students vary from reception children to postgraduate researchers.
They have a good conservation programme for returning to the wild species from their special breeding programmes ie dormice, red squirrels, otters, wild horses and many others. They are working to maintain a future for our countryside, for our children and for our planet and feel they are a small but very important cog in a big wheel for conservation on a local scale and need all the help they can get to make a greater difference. Wildwood depends a lot on donation and monetary gifts. Staff and volunteers are dedicated hard working people.

The charity i wish to nominate is Relate Aldershot Farnborough and Fleet.
It is mainly self- funded by client contributions. Funding from local authorities has been cut. This means that the counselling that is provided by clients who cannot afford to pay is subsidised by the charity so difficult decisions have to be made. We cannot always provide much needed help. the charity also provides for free counselling for children and teenagers whose parents are splitting up. Training has to be paid for. Premises have to be rented. Admin staff need a salary. It is not only affluent people who have relatonshoip problems but they are the ones who can afford help. This charity wants to help all who need it regardless of income. It is fundamental to society that people have healthy relationships or can separate without recrimination
