All Saints Choir are part of the Northampton Choral Foundation, and do a tremendous job - thanks to a brilliant Music Director - in training the Boys, Girls and Mens choirs. They rehearse up to 5 times every week and sing at many Church services, Weddings, Concerts and go on tour each year. We are constantly fundraising for the upkeep of robes, music (which is extortionate), and travel expenses. It is fantastic to see so many children and adults (age 7 to 77) who are involved in the choirs turn up week in week out, dedicating their time and energy, at a time when the youth of today are seen in such a bad light.:T They give such a lot to the Community by way of singing for Remembrance Day, Special Services/Concerts but find it very hard to make ends meet.0

Doesn't appear to be a registered charity. Apologies if it is but I can't find anything related listed with Charities Commission."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

There is research currently going on into photodynamic therapy for cancer. This is a very exciting development which would enable people with certain types of cancers to be diagnosed and treated all in the same day. My husband has just had major surgery for lung cancer and the weeks and weeks of waiting have been the most stressful of our lives, but with a treatment like this those days would be gone. The Government donates exactly nothing to this research and they are desparately short of funds. Please please take a look at this website, decide for yourselves but this surely has got to be a very worthy charity.0 -

a) 14th Sheffield Scout Group (Grenoside)
b) www.14thgrenoside.spaces.live.com
c) local Beaver Colony, Cub Pack Scout Troop
d) The Leaders of this Group work tirelessly each week to provide activities for the young people in their sections. They are all part of the family of scouting.
They endeavour to take the young people camping on weekends (and also hold a week long summer camp) each year and find transporting the equipment needed a problem. They bought a trailer about 10 years ago but it is now in need of a major overall or they need to replace it. My children both benefit from this Group and all the adults give their time voluntary and it would be good to give them something back.superscaper wrote: »Don't appear to be a registered charity.

I would like to nominate a charity. Not sure if I am in the right place as I am new to Forum.
The Charity I would like to nominate is St Mary's Hospice, Ulverston Cumbria.
They are mostly funded by the generosity of local people.
I am cancer patient myself and through their help and support I am very well.
My Sister and her husband who both died on the same day in the hospice, could not have been better looked after, and the support with our family who were in shock over this event was overwelming. I will be forever in their debt.
Their web page is www.stmaryshospice.org shows just what this wonderfull chaity do.
Thank you

Kent Kids Miles of Smiles
www.miles-of-smiles.org.uk
Two care homes for sick and disabled children and young adults.
This charity runs two homes and gives a fantastic quality of life to the residents, the staff are so dedicated and caring and funds are needed to give them as many opportunities as they can to enjoy their sometimes all too short lives.0
