    Hi Everyone

Up early again today, but didn't post as had nothing much to add. Had a clean up today as it gets rather dusty out here, so hoovered around to catch all the fluff balls (they seem to appear from nowhere), DH took over the hoover, seems I don't know how to use it ;) - lol - then cleaned it all out as it gets clogged up with the dust. Made a salad for lunch, then had a sunbathe, and a siesta to catch up from the early start. It's such a hard life! I feel rather guilty.:o

Looks like loads of :grouphug:'s needed out there, and  to everyone else.

Lovely and sun day again-gorgeous.I didnt have to go to my nans [ in law] my hubby went instead. She said as much as she loves the kids, she couldnt have them round there, while not feeling well, which is understandable - my 2 year is a little scamp at the minute. So i phone her everyday to see how she is,and shes due for shopping in a couple of days,so we will do that for her.Off to check on the Mother in laws house tonight,as they are on holiday,so dinner will be a takeaway,as it will be late.

Enjoy the rest of your evening everyone, and ill see you soon xx

also thinking of anniestar and (((Phoebe)))

(((hugs))) to all those that need one.

ivyleaf - have a great time on holiday! Send us all a postcard. :D

    :hello: to everyone else.

I left school early today. Don't worry, I did have the blessing of the deputy head...... It was the last day of SATs today for Year 2, so I've now got all the writing tests to mark. It's trickier than it sounds and the guidance is as useful as a chocolate fireguard. I'm having a break - honest. :A However, it did mean that I missed all the heavy traffic in Peterborough AND I actually was out of school when the post office was open, so I could post a book that I sold on Amazon.

Supper tonight will be a tuna pasta thing. Nice and easy and uses up stuff in the store cupboard. I'm trying to avoid doing a "big-ish" shop this week and I think that I should do it.

    Right, rest over.

Again just a quick one. Haven't read todays posts but I will do. Thank you for the hugs and (yet to be read PM's) My heart is breaking. Went to vets. After a lot of tests today(bloods and loads of x rays) she feels Phoebe has leukemia not FLV the "real" stuff(IYSWIM) but....I am not totally convinced. Please bear with me as I really need some clear headed advice. When the vet rang me(when I was typing my last post) she mentioned serious blood results and an injury to her ribs:eek: Now she lives upstairs with us sleeps in the bedroom and only goes on the window sill(but we have two pouffee things for her and our bed which is not high. The other cats with the exception of annie have no contact with her. Annie is laid back and they do get on.(also the vet said it wasn't that sort of injury maybe cartildge damage) BUT....when she rang eariler she did say they were having problems with their x ray machine so has it picked up something that doesn't exist(Phoebe isn't showing any pain and has been exammined three times in seven days) Anyway, got her home and fed her we noticed she was tucking in to her food(smooth pate type stuff) now as it was her lack of appetite that initially caused us to take her last week we were delighted. However something occured to me- the last time she ate well was last tuesday when she had been given a painkiller and this evening when she had been given a painkiller . I rang the vet (she was too busy to speak to me but thats not the problem) and spoke to the senior vet nurse who was really nasty and defensive. I had made it clesr I was not questioning the initial ideas(no diaginosis SP yet) but that I thought they should know. We have always thought it was something to do with her mouth. She then told me that "vets go to university for 7 years you know" oh right then. And then got all funny and said seeing as your not happy with what we have to say(:confused: )we can refer you to the Liverpool University Animal hospital. but you will have to pay serious money(we have paid over £500 in the space of 1 week as it stands) and no the vet didn't ring back. I am heartbroken. Phoebe is dead happy and if there is some kind of problem with her mouth I will get her treated. Please believe me when I say it isn't a matter of keeping her alive at any cost but by the same token.................................. well you know.
I have thought long and hard berofe posting this. I am well aware that a lot of you have problems, are coping with ilnesses in your family and with losses of your own and have stresses and problems of your own. I just need a ear. Anyway, as ever thank you for listening. Thank goodness I have you. Have a great night. God bless you all. Ann xxxxxx

Annie can you not go to another veterinary practice for a second opinion? sounds like the pain is stopping her eating properly, i have metacam for the old cat and he does well on it, its not expensive either

Oh Anniestar, I don't know what to say. What a shame the vet nurse was so defensive - I can't blame you at all for wanting to make sure they know the whole story - and if the painkiller is masking a pain and then she can eat properly, then that seems to me to be something the vet should know. On the other hand the blood tests ought to be true results....oh dear, poor you. ((HUGS)) and love to you and Phoebe.

    Good evening all,

Work again today, but since coming home, I've made another batch of Twinks, I took some to my grandparents this afternoon from my last lot and they really enjoyed them. :D
I'm going to go and make a start on the ironing, whilst watching CSI. I'm still catching up on the holiday clothes, whatever posessed me to buy all this stuff with linen
Got some chick peas soaking, I'm going to put them into the slow cooker with some diced pork, it started life as pork chops, but they are as tough as old boots, so I'm hoping to make an improvement.

Big hugs to those in need, Candy, Chrisca, Anniestar, Rmac, Pen-pin, GBroon, and the many others with poorly loved ones....and hugs to those who have folk that are unwell, but still waiting for a diagnosis.

Love to all The Twit. :grouphug:

PS, Mioliere, how did the favours go...have you made a start?

anniestar - as twink said, if you are able to can you get a second opinion? This time last year, my parents went through a semi-similar situation (regarding a vet) with their dog, Katie. She had lumps and my parents weren't happy with the diagnosis that the first vet gave them. In the end, they went to a second vet and Katie had various lumps removed and her womb removed as the first vet hadn't found the infection that could have killed her. ...................................... as DH said, it didn't make her any less lazy. :D
