    Morning all

Have been up sine 04.45 as I wanted to get cracking on my essay. Now finished and will post it in a bit. Feeling very anxious today so trying to deep breathe and chill out. Need to crack on with work for the next essay that's due soon.

CANDYGIRL sorry about your Dad, hugs to you.

R.MAC I hope you stop being sick soon, hugs to you.

Hugs to anyone else who wants or needs one.

Off to the school in a minute to do gardening club. Have made chicken stock overnight in the SC, will pop in into the freezer in a bit. Too hot for soup today. Need to think about tea tonight, have loads of food but don't really fancy it.

    Have a good day all.

I forgot to mention that I managed to unblock our drain yesterday.

OH was huffing and getting stressed about it all, talking about rushing off to B & Q for stuff when I put the plunger bit on the drain rods, wiggles it about a bit and viola, an unblocked drain.:D

Got no thanks though, think OH was a bit put out that he didn't think of doing that.:rotfl:

rmac can you tell me what size round cake tin I can use for your lemon drizzle cake please, as I don't have a loaf tin and wonder what the equivalent is - ta in anticipation;)

oh - I've only ever made it in a loaf tin, perhaps a 7inch round tin would be ok - cook if for less time though ;)

Back from weigh in and I have lost another 1lb :j I am really pleased as I am still managing my weekend takeaway and wine.

However, I have bought an outfit for DS wedding in September, and it is gorgeous, but a bit tight, so I have to stick to the diet now, or I won't have anything to wear :D

Anyone know where I can get a lilac bag and matching shoes

Candygirl my heart goes out to you and your dad. I am dreading the day when I have to go through this with my mum who has lung cancer and emphysema.
Each month that goes by she gets a little weaker but is so independent she still lives in her flat on her own. It's heartbreaking to watch.

I lost my mum to lung cancer, and all I can say is that when the time comes, accept any help that you are offered. We had the Marie Curie nurses in at night, and the Douglas Macmillan hospice at home team during the day, and they were fantastic.

I was terrified about what would happen, and how we would cope, but they were fantastic, and enabled my Mum to die at home with dignity. They are truly angels :A

Thanks for that Charlies Mum. She has a cancer nurse that comes to visit regularly but at the moment there is nothing that they can really do for her except steriods to help her appetite and support her with oxygen and a nebuliser. She isnt really an outgoing type of person and doesnt suffer fools gladly, but luckily, for the nurse that is, she really gets on well with her which is great lol.

Right lets see how my lemon drizzle cake is getting on in the oven.
