    Good Morning All

N9eav - sorry to hear about the ducklings, we had two ducks run over outside our house this year - its horrible

Squiggly - enjoy your 'tea' date

Lovely sunshine here again today. Feeling a bit groggy as was up last night as DS' hay fever is terrible - will have to take him to the docs to get some different medicine if that is possible.

Did do quite a bit of ironing yesterday but had to stop as the iron was spluttering brown stuff over the clothes. I knew I should have descaled it before but kept putting it off. Its been sitting in the kitchen all night with white vinegar mix in. Will turn it on in a mo and hope its sorted.

Have some paperwork this morning, washing and ironing. Think may pop out to Asda and get DD some school PE shorts. If its on will take DS and his friend to see Indianna Jones at a local little cinema.

Thats it for now, have a great day.

(Hope you can keep cool Hester)

    Morning all,

I had a lovely surprise here this morning. I received a gorgeous box of chocolates from Churchmouse. :kisses3: I've eaten quite a few already and they don't seem to be making my cholestrol go higher so will polish off the rest later. :D Thank you. Been showers here this morning. Made cereal, biscuits & cheesecake today. Got all the washing dry so will iron that shortly.

I've just come from XDIL & DGS and we raided another empty yard nearby. Got oranges, grapefruit, mandarins & avocado's. :D

Charlies Mum Hope the weigh in goes well. ;)
Squiddly Have fun. Is he rich? :D

    Morning Friends,

DF's funeral went as well as funerals go, thanks for all well wishes. The church was packed, I don't think there was any building work done in S/set. DF was a builder. Met many friends we hadn't seen for ages and as usual promised to keep in touch but life somehow has a habit of getting in the way of best laid plans.

Came home and stripped the roast chicken to boil carcus for stock, lit the wrong burner, 5 mns later grabbed the pan and burnt my thumb and 1st 2 fingers I now have 3 huge blisters under plasters. I have the stitches out on my right arm on Friday, hopefully I will feel the benefit, am fed up of being useless.

Sorted through a huge box of photos, why did we take 100,s of scenery snaps they all look the same, I was quite ruthless and binned everyone that didn't have someone in the photo. Got rid of 2 carrier bags full. I'm on a run of sorting out stuff, filled 10 bags with books, orniments, etc ready for the charity shop.

BM and wm on now. Going to make a chick and leek pie with help from DH, lots of weeding to do and plants to re-pot.

    Morning everyone!

It's Hot In The City today!:D I was up far too late last nite with DH listening to old tv theme tunes! A-Team, Six Million Dollar Man, Magnum - and then up far to early with DD this morning (5.30)!!!

I bought a load of Flora buttery yesterday on offer in tesco for 66p, inside they now have "CookingforSchools" codes, which the school redeem for cooking equipment.

Must make sure I go to the gym after dropping the kids off at school, I WILL NOT go to asda and come out £20 lighter:rolleyes: :naughty: :wall: :rotfl:

    Tea tonite is spag bol.

Nothing else exciting to add today again, what an interesting life I lead!:rotfl:

I noticed that in Aldi last week that a Roberts' thick sliced loaf was 91p, but was only 80 odd pence in Asda, so some things are definitely cheaper elsewhere. The only problem is that I used to shop at Morrisons and spend £130 a week for 2 adults, a dog and a cat

Mind you, that was before I become an MSE addict ;)

I am so sorry about your Dad, I know how hard it is to see them like that. Sending you lots of hugs xx

    Morning all :hello:

Haven't posted since Saturday (feels like ages ago)

Well it was fairly sunny here when I first got up, now its clouding over.

OH is back at work today after his stint on Jury Service, he didnt serve on any cases as he didnt get picked for the first two and he knew one of the witnesses on the last case. I think he's dissappointed really as he thought it would let him use his brain for a bit!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway I'm now able to get back on this comp instead of him using the laptop with the modem.....

It was baking hot here Sunday and Monday spent a nice afternoon in the beer garden at our local.

Made r.mac's lemon drizzle cake on Saturday it went down a treat.

    Not much else to report.

Oh yes, I dont usually support football teams but, I'm so glad Holland won last night :j just didnt want Italy to win for some reason.

Off into town today, quick visit to DD then home to try and get some order in the garden, still a bit wet under the trees where I want to work, lots of weeds need removing.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need.
    :p PinkPunkBird :p
