am off to the docs soon with DS2 as he has had a sore eye for a few days and he is in the middle of his GCSEs.

Hello all, back after a weekend away camping. Did really well and saved a fortune.
Managed to make breakfast for for 10 every morning with a couple of pans and one gas ring!:D
Bread in maker, going to look in the freezer for something for tea.
Washing out, washing in.
Lovely day here again.
Have a great day everyone, need to head off to work.

Have a good date, Squiggly

betheebee - glad it was a nice funeral ((hugs))
Re: Aldi - the 49p fruit & veg have gone up to 69p this month anyway (last month they were 59p). I wouldn't do a weekly/monthly shop at Aldi as I don't think it would work out cheapest overall, however my local Aldi is just down the road from Asda so I tend to work out which of Aldi's current deals are worth my while, go there first, then buy the rest of the stuff I need at Asda. (I do the same with Lidl/Netto and Morrisons, which are also near each other, but nowhere near Aldi and Asda
)
Am feeling a bit guilty about lowering my savings target to subsidise my recent overspending on luxuries, but it's actually made me feel a lot happier - I hate being in debt, and although it wasn't debt in the real sense, it was debt to myself IYKWIM. So it's as if I've written it off and started again. As long as I don't make a habit of it I can't see that it's a problem...
Work today, gym at lunchtime, then some serious housework and perhaps a bit of cooking this evening. Right, am busy, must get back to work.
Love Rzl xx

Good morning! :hello:
Haven't read the rest of the thread yet, but will do so in a minute.
Have just hung out the washing I did last night, and another load is in WM, so at least I can feel i'm doing something
(((((HUGS))))) to all in need, and I hope everyone unwell is feeling better today
If anyone has any spare energy, could they please send some round here:o , thanks in advance!:D We're going on holiday next Monday and there are clothes to sort out, decisions to make about what food to take and what food to buy there (we're going to France) and it all seems too much bother atm, though I know I'll enjoy it once we get there:)
DH has made the appointment for his Glucose Tolerance Test - the first appointment they had was 1st July, which seems a long time to have to wait to find out if he is diabetic - just as well we're going away in the meantime:rolleyes:
Off to read the thread now, see you later
Best wishes

Starting to get really warm here but am putting ham and lentil soup in the slow cooker as I want to use up some veggies.
The ham will be nice with new potatoes later or salad and DH will eat home made soup whatever the weather.
Might go out shopping later and get some bits and bats for DD and some salad etc for tea.
Hugs to Candy Girl,Penpincher,Jayward,Bethebee, Smoky and anyone else who could use one."This site is addictive!"

Morning all
Well rushed round getting all my housework done before it got too hot, and the sun's gone in  Got ironing to do yet, so will make inroads into that in a mo. Got Tesco's delivery between 11-1 and then the afternoon is mine. Might have a look for the recipe for lemon drizzle cake I saw mentioned earlier, have been meaning to make that and the cake box is empty.
Have a good day all - byeeeeeeeeee0 -
Hello all !
I'm making hay while the sun shines.........rain forecast tomorrow and Thursday so washing on the line, another lot in the machine............just hope it doesn't decide to rain before forecast says.
Bedrooms now fit for the family visit.......just need to sort out cake or something for baby grandsons first birthday.
Have a good day and hugs ((((((((:o ))))))) to those who need themMary

Hi all - just sat back down with a coffee.
R.Mac - I do hope the morning sickness eases off soon. You'll need to keep some of that food down!
Beth - you are going through it lately, aren't you? Glad the funeral went as well as it could although it must have been very moving.
Taplady - hope DS's eye is OK? I know of two children with conjunctivitis at the moment so maybe that's the problem.
Hi and welcome to Glitterycloud.
RedRuby - you sound like me; on a good day for drying I hunt all over the house for things to wash! I haven't got a dog so no dog blankets, though, and dressing gowns have been done! I have a washable raincoat so that's been done today and I've just had a thought that I could wash the scatter cushion covers so will whip those off in a minute. I hate not making the most of the weather - it seems such a waste.
I have just been out to post some letters and called in at our new charity shop where I bought a big book called 'Gentle Medicine' all about natural treatments for illnesses and ailments. It's endorsed by Dr Hilary Jones from the TV so must have some good info in it. I may sit outside in the sun and have a read.
Anyway, off for now and will catch up later.
(((Hugs))) to all.
