Just been writing the list of what we need to take, definately no room for alcohol which actually will save the worry of something breaking. Seems to be a small place where we are going, no OL, so will have to stick a few postcodes into viamichelin and see which supermarkets are the closest.

SSL thanks. The washer seems to be behaving itself again. To be honest I am relieved as landlady seems to have changed her mobile number again and I hate pestering her Mam to get things done. Amount of laundry I have to do if something happened to the one fitted I'd have to use mine while I got the other one fixed. Thanks for the reminder actually, I forgot all the uniforms are in there which I will now need to get in the drier so they have something to wear tomorrow. Best go do that now.
One day I might be more organised...........

Johanne - do you go to a mother and baby group, or is there an NCT bumps and babies group near you? You can find one on the NCT website. It sounds like you could do with some company. The cleaning will always wait for you - it always does...

There is a mother and babies nearby but dont feel comfortable going just yet. have contacted few people through another mum forum so maybe meet someone there. Could do with someone to bother with me that isnt my OH or my mum. Thanks for showing concern though. :)

Hippy still up as waiting for the bloomin' TD to finish..............need to have the uniforms ready for in the morning, just so pleased SSL mentioned it because I'd forgot. I will probably struggle to sleep tonight because of my little 'catch up' :o this afternoon.

Denise, ditto, my parents had the chance to move to NZ when I was little, Mam said no, always wondered since what it'd have been like. Always wanted to go for a holiday just to see, one day maybe.

Off to check the TD, see if it's all dry and 'bits free' hopefully then get to bed.

    Morning all

Still bunged up and wa almost tempted to just stay in bed but I'm not sick enough to warrant it. Mind you, having just heard the travel news on the local radio I nearly crawled back in it again...
Seems they've closed a 10 mile stretch  of a road that I only go on for about 1 mile so there's going to be travel chaos out there. Fortunately I know a back route which I'm hoping not many people know so I shall have to utilise that - it will take longer so I'll have to leave earlier methinks. It may not be so bad as it's Friday and there always seems to be less traffic then but one of the diversion routes that's being mentioned is the road I'll join up with from the back roads so that is likely to be v. slow.

Ahhh me - but that's such a petty, selfish little niggle compared with what must be going on with the people involved in the accident and their families.

Lil-me - have a lovely trip in your caravan (you'll probably be on the road before I get home from work) and I hope the weather stays kind for you. And what do you mean there's no room for alcohol????? That, surely, is the FIRST thing you should pack when going caravaning? If you decant it into a plastic bottle then there'll be no concerns about breakages :D

Johanne - big hugs for you

    Have a good day ladies

Johanne, my little boy is 5 months now, but when he was tiny I didn't feel comfirtable going to mother and baby groups either, as I thought everyone would know each other and talk to me. My HV set up a group specially for first time mums who had had their babies at similar times, so I wonder if you could speak to yours and see if she does anything similar? It really helped as there were no cliques as everyone started going at the same time. It's finished now, but some of us still meet up once or twice a week and it stops you from going crazy when you're on maternity leave.
If you ever want to email me or anything my emails on my profile (I think). I've been in a similar position to you quite recently, so feel free to moan/chat/rant whatever. I know it can be a bit daunting being a first time mum x
