Back from college and will finish these curtains this week if it kills me (and it might well just do that!)
It is enrolling for after summer starting on Monday but part of me actually wants to go do a proper course instead.. in the last 5.5 years I could have finished a degree!!!.. if they didn't have pressure or require much input!.. I am lazy and have a head full of mush.
DD's 1 & 2 want a pair of the exfoliating gloves so I need to go get those later and I have 2 letters to post.
Best go feed Tiddles then I'll decide what jobs I need to get done!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

As I managed to reply first this week, thought I ought to make an effort to post my progress
Did quite well on the kitchen but didn’t think I’d have time for the bathroom and study today. Unfortunately one of my children is sickso I have had to come home from work
:):):)
With an unexpected day at home, as much as I would love to sit in the garden, I might as well do my jobs. I’ll try to catch up with some of the posts, but my time is probably better spent doing something round the house. I’ll let you know how I get on later.
Have a fabulous, sunny day. Kitty

Bonsi so sorry that the news is not good, hugs hunThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
-
Bonsi - Hugs for you and yours. Fight them all the way hun! they really shouldnt be allowed to mess with peoples lives like that the bar stewards:mad: . Try to find a positve and cling to it - at least the temperature is cooler over here (even on hot days);) . Nothing else I can say but we are all here to support you and help you "fling" stuff along the way:D .
I am proud of myself - I drove into Ely and parked in the town centre carpark (luckily it was quiet so I did my bay park as nothing either side of me;) . I went into Bon Marche (or something like that) and bought a pair of 3/4 jeans and top for £20 (bargain:money: ), a summer bag, a new necklace and a new pair of high flip flops. DH will be taking the car keys off me at this rate as I could get use to this:D :j . Also got DD2 some trainers bit of a struggle as she has tiny size 7's. DD1 has a new lunch bag- only the third this school year:rolleyes: , but it has a doggy on the front so she is happy.
Since I got home I have:-
Hoovered through
Tidied kitchen
Our bedding done and on line
Replanted sunflower seeds (DD2 decided to [STRIKE]drown[/STRIKE] water them:mad: .

Tried to make apt for eyebrow wax (left message)
About to scrub bathroom but shouldnt take too long as did yesterday. Will mop floors after that and then look back at my list to see what else I am meant to do today.

recoveringspendaholic You really have my sympathy. I really understand how difficult they can all be at that age. I was lucky with the first three but DS3 is becoming a massive problem too. DS2 lost his phone in February, its insured but he has still done nothing about it. Grrrrr!
hugs bonsibabe, You have my sympathy, I hope you feel better about it all soon.
pigpen How do I get the germs off things without electrocuting myself?
We have got all three bathrooms sparkling and have fourth load of washing on the line. We had a major blockage in the waste pipes and DH eventually found 11 cotton buds in the pipe!! Bonsibabe - I'm really sorry to hear about DH's job. Sending positive declutter vibes to you.
Kitty - hope your littlie (or maybe not so littlie??) is feeling better soon.
G&B - brillaint news about your OH, keeping things crossed for him.
Hugs to everyone else.
I've decided i've got too much time on my hands to think so I phoned up the hospice where I got the voluntary job just before I bust my wrist / hand. I've asked if I can go in and just make tea, coffee, anything to start me off there. Anyway, I went in this morning and managed to do two mini manicures for two lovely, lovely ladies who want to be my first two regulars there. It is such a lovely place with lots of really lovely people. It's quite fitting as my friend who died did a lot of work for hospices and can cancer patients so it's quite a fitting tribute to him that i've started now.
I've got 4 children plus my two for tea so I'm not going to clean the bathroom until they've left!!! Going to swish and swipe until them. Anyone for a hhc?
Welcome to all the new people on the thread, my only advice would be - don't do too much of the list or you'll make me look bad!!:D xx0 -
recovering spendaholic - it may be worth checking your household contents insurance to see if you can claim the phone on that. I know ours are covered, and the laptop as well.
bonsi - hugs, that really doesn't sound at all fair.
shell - you go girl! I learned to drive late, and whizz around all over very happily - I enjoy driving more than OH does.
pigpen - we've talked about this before! Which course has caught your fancy? I think you'd be very able to do exactly what you wanted, if you were determined enough, I can't see anything stopping you.
I have done a couple of hours on the allotment, and have finished clearing the weeds off one bed ( I had nearly finished this Sunday) ready to add compost and plant. Only two half beds, and one whole bed left to do now the end is in sight! Well, the end of the allotment would be in sight, if the grass and the leaf beet running up to flower were not taller than me...
Off down town with DD in a minute, as she's bored with revising. I have half done the living room, but can't get motivated today. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
