Hiya, I'm late but in this week. I've taken today off as flexi as I had visitors all weekend and lovely as it was I was exhausted yesterday. I've got a list a mile long but I'm just going to go with the flow. WM already on and I've been on my hands and knees cleaning the cream rug in the living room which has been on my list for weeks. Stardrops foam and a vegetable scrubber is certainly cheaper than the professional dry cleaning it recommends or even 2001 spray (is that what it's called?).
Bonsibabe and GnB, I hope your OHs get things resolved quickly - not a happy situation for you and your families..
Shell, look at you go!! Well done with the driving, parking between does get easier but given the choice I still prefer two spaces between cars!

    List for today
    [strike]BM[/strike]
    [STRIKE]Bathroom[/STRIKE]
Check when car needs serviced and book in (2000 Nectar points with Ford not to be sniffed at)
Ring for DEFRA home efficiency appointment
    [strike]Update finances - seriously adrift[/strike]
Weeding and strimming - sunshine allowing
    Town/ Metro centre maybe

There's other things but I'm not commiting myself just yet.

    Catch you all later.

    Morning all

One load of clothes washed and the cats blankets done, all out on the line. WM has been through on an empty wash with vinegar, always need to do this after the cats blankets.

Polished living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Took dog out early after the cat woke me up and wouldn't shut up.

Best wishes to all those having problems :(

:hello:to even more new flybabies today!

I'm sniffing - I think I've caught DD's cold. I haven't had a phone call for work, so I guess I have a day at home again. DD is home, revising,(supposedly) as she has exams tomorrow and Thursday. DS1 is home as he's finished his and has no idea when he is supposed to be in school again. I think I'll email the head of 6th form and ask.

I'll do the livingroom today, as I'm still sticking to the original order - it fits in with work etc. I think I may pop down to the allotment for an hour or so, depending on how hot it is. Salad and something for dinner, so I can pick another lettuce (they've grown beautifully with all the rain!), radish, and spring onions

Greenwombat, lizzie dripping and MrsV welcome :D
I'm with Solwaykid on the parking aswell Shell, given the choice I will still park further from the shop with more space.
g&b glad to hear your partner is ok, what a worry.
Michelle, just think of all the electricity you save not ironing those non essentials, I used to iron everything, now I'm an 'iron what needs it and nothing more' convert.
hollyh wish I lived closer would have had little DS for you so you could go to the sports day.
pigpen yes I was still up then ut studying and being good :D by staying off the computer.
    Mudbath thinking of you x
Shell I ended up getting the boys a roll on each, from what the children have said the teachers/LSAs are helping them put it on which I am relieved about, I suppose common sense comes into it.
bonsibabe, hope you resolve things soon, it's a stressful time for you both which will of course cause friction in the strongest of relationships, big hugs, hope he gets the answers he needs today.
mumoftwo hope things settle down with your job soon.
skintscotlass, to be honest the housing market is better where you are than here, my parents home has been on the market for nearly 2 years it must be now, only one viewer in all that time.
Oh poohbear what a tike, I think many of us have been there at some point, 18 or older, hopefully he's learned his lesson early.

Just phoned the hairdressers to check appointment time, pleased I did as I wrote on the calendar 10.30 and it's 10am. Only takes me 5 minutes to get there so will get the washing hung out before then, which should finish in the next few minutes. Dog has terrible wind yak, keep hearing him 'go off' every few minutes, he's just barked at his own bottom which was hilarous :rotfl: anyway just thought I would share that with you hehe. Wilkinsons order arrived this morning while I was still in my dressing gown, how embarrassing as it was a neighbour of ours (he subcontracts for Amtrak) oh well :rotfl: There is stuff missing that is on the delivery note so will have to contact them about it.

Right I best get a wriggle on, need to wake DP up before I go aswell, hope you all have a lovely day x
One day I might be more organised...........

Oooh can I have a day of not doing a lot as I have done everything, well nearly everything on the lists over two days. Plus I am afraid I did some major crisis cleaning yesterday as I had a friend coming over and the house was a tip! So I literally did 3 hours of cleaning yesterday, through the house, and I also ended up doing 3 hours of cleaning in the kitchen on Sunday evening as we found mouse droppings, That was enough for me to completely gut the kitchen and have a row with DH about the long wait for the new kitchen.

So I do have a couple of things to do today out of the house which I have added onto the list, and as I am suffering slightly for being a mad thing with the cleaning and then going out all day walking around yesterday I am going to have a relaxing afternoon this afternoon :D

Mad Monday - Kitchen of Kreation

    Level One
[strike]Open the windows and let in the light
Clear and wipe the worksurfaces & table[/strike]
    Level Two
[strike]Wipe the little appliances and put them back in their homes
Wipe over the cupboards and large appliances
    Clean out drawers and filters[/strike]
    Level Three
    [strike]Sweep and mop the floor
    Shine the grotty windows
Drag everything out of the tins cupboard.. wipe it out and put back the bits you are keeping..G
Get rid of the things you will never eat or incorporate them into your weekly meal plan!!
Scrub down the woodwork.. skirtings, door frames etc
![/strike]Managed to fill 4 black binliners with all the crud out of the cupboards - ugh!!
    Extras
    1. [strike]HHI[/strike]
    2. [strike]Fill a bag for charity shop[/strike]
    3. Deweb the downstairs of the house!!

    Just for laughs!!

Wow!! What do they do then? Have viewing by appt only? That must be really difficult and utterly soul destroying. I've bought and sold houses pretty much every 4 years and I've never known the market like this. However, I know it will improve. I'm just fed up with having the house spotless for viewing  (oh if only you could all see the state of my house today :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )
