GandB glad to hear DH is ok - sent a chill down my spine though as my dad had a tonne of coal fall on him at work, which left him paralysed. That was through neglect of H and S as well. It is so not worth the penny pinching some companies do. The consequences as always affect the workers.

I have tried to have a good evening. DH got in at 7. I got DS1 to bed for 7:30, with no creating so far so already better than last night, DS2 will probably be another thing. I then made wedges for dinner which we had with leftover beef, salad and poached eggs.

I then had a small mooch here, but then went for a bath, refolded all the non-ironable stuff DH put on the line for me (although the perfectionist in me wanted to iron it all, but i am being sensible as who really cares if our PJs are creased  except me of course), and then, because i have no sense whatsoever, i decided to tackle the ironing pile, doing about 20 items and probably pulling out the same again in DS2s newborn clothes which no longer fit, folding them ready for the loft. Did similar with some of DS1s clothes, apart from some which are stained, which he can wear once more before putting in the recycling seems though we are at home most of the time anyhow. ;)

DH is just washing up, then we will attempt to go to bed, although i think DS2 is about to tune up for a feed. He has slept rather restlessly all day - must be the heat. He's also come out in spots all over his face from where he insists on lying on me.

Anyway, clothes for me and both DSs are out for tomorrow, and the plan is for nursery at the moment, but we will see how tonight goes first. I am desperate for a break but if there are still tears and tantrums, i will not be sending him. Shame really that it is my only break.

OK, washing up done, so my cue to get off the computer and shift my bum. See you all tomorrow.

    Hi

My list for tomorrow. I am under house arrest until Wednesday when Ds2 should stop being infectious. He's feeling better though and spent some time in the garden today, the last few days he hasn't moved far from the sofa. It's Ds1's sports day tomorrow as well and i won't be able to go i can't risk infecting people it's his last one in this school as well. He doesn't seem too concerned about it though.

  • Just read through the rest of the thread - GNB yes, the kitchen looks soooo much better without the toaster. What an awful thing to happen to your OH - I can only echo what the others have said with regard to H&S and not being able to terminate employment just for contacting them, however it must all be very unsettling and worrying.
Mudbath - just read of your loss - nothing I can say really but hope you are coping.
Poohbear - sounds like a nightmare with your DS! It is my oldest DD's 18th on 22nd and I am dreading it! She is fairly careful with drink but I have heard some horror stories so we shall have to see....

Speaking of uniforms (see Pigpen above) I put the washing through this morning and found two pair of uniform shorts in there - DS3 only has two pair - what on earth did he think he was going to wear to school today?!? And DS4 still hasn't got last weeks washing in to be done! Ewww!

PP - thanks for the cuppa - hot chocolate needed this morning to cope with the frost
    Mudbath - sympathies to you
Poohbear - glad everyone survived the weekend
Michelle - take it easy tomorrow, I remember what it was like with lack of sleep
Mrs V - good luck with the house selling
G&B - your OH sounds very, very lucky. Make sure he sticks to his rights!

Right - I'm having no luck keeping up with the lists most days and then I feel !!!! that I've not achieved everything . . . so I'm back to doing my own lists again so I don't feel completely useless.

    Today:

    Walk dogs DONE
    Two loads washing DONE
    Wipe bench DONE
Transfer some money around bank accounts DONE
    Vacuum floors
Dinner chicken curry in SC thanks to OH
Tidy office desk, get filing up to date - home and work
Washing in, folded and put away

Anything else will be a bonus :)

    Morning all

I fear I may have spent too long in the garden last night, my nose and eyes feel awful this morning - probably a touch of hayfever.

G&B - hope all goes well with hubby at work today.

I have a busy day at work today. Working on two projects simultaneously - one publicly, one covertly (as far as a particular department is concerned) - at the moment which is stretching my brain somewhat! But, it pays the mortgage.

Another fantastic morning - sun is out and bright and already v. warm. I shall have to dig out another skirt I think.

Have a great day ladies. I shall fly when I get home.
