G n B - still reading through but wanted to post this asap. Out of my main area of experience but even as an agency employee he falls under the definition of a 'worker' and as such is covered by the whistleblower legislation for reporting H&S issue - see link. I hope it is just his manager doing a knee jerk reaction - it is reportable to the HSE as a near miss incident. If they do sack him then he should chase it up with the HSE if nothing else, and he should tell the H&S chap on site that he ahs been sacked as he should know that it is illegal and stupid to do so.

    and hello to the newbies
dusty kitten - we have a tom tom 520 because it has a built in bluetooth handsfree for the phone. It has gone back for a repair today (6 months into a two year warranty) and although I am not happy it has died the customer service has been very good.

No flying done yet today - just in from work and I must do some more weeding tonight. Forecast is for rain on Friday so I might catch up flying by then - mind you it is Gardeners World Live and the NEC is only an hour away......

Have done nothing much since last post, tried to build the slide complete disaster got half way there and realised some of the screws are missing and then there is too many of different screws. I've it nearly all down but have two screws to get out and if i can't get them out then i can't send it back:mad: think i'll leave it to hubby. Why do i start building stuff before checking all is there....

DD has managed to loss one of her hearing aids at school in the grass, everyone looking for it but no luck, i was hoping it would bleep but didn't hear a peep. So phone call to hospital and they can see her on friday but she'll need a new mould taken so that will be a few weeks before it gets back, so i must remember which ear has no hearing aid because she'll not pick up a word. Thank goodness the holidays are nearly here and that there not doing to much at school at the minute.

Right coffee first and hubby should be ringing shortly for a lift home.

    Huge hugs Bon.
Luby well done on the running, i wouldn't make it to the bottom of the lane without being out of breath and falling into the ditch.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Not long been up and getting ready for my night shft.

Went to see mum today and took her outside for a cig but she complained it was freezing but in fact it was really warm. Took her back inside and she said that breeze is nice are we not going for a walk. lol.

Ive tidied round and tackled the bathroom today. Will do HHI before going to work.

Tea nearly ready bubbling away nicely.

g&b Glad to hear that OH is still working.

recovering spendaholic My GS1 had a similar experience with his phone on Saturday night. He went back to where he thought he had lost it but it wasnt there.

bonsibabe. Glad to hear that you are still going to fight and pleased to see you are positive. Sometimes situations have hidden silver linings and I hope this is the case for you.

Mudbath Im sure you will get a lot out of your voluntary work and Im sure the people you treat will benefit greatly.

    Evening all

Bonsi - hugs- well done on getting some positively - do your best to stay focussed and things will turn out right in the end.
Mudbath - enjoy the volunteering and well done
    G&B - glad hubby's still on site

Oooh, I've had a grumpy day. I'm feeling all out of sorts - either hayfever or a cold - time will tell which it is. Nothing went right at work today (fortunately none of it was my fault) and again it was boiling hot. I actually swore and shouted at someone this afternoon when he did something he'd spent the last two days moaning about other people doing and which lost me an hour's work. But we made up again later. I'm just a grumpy old woman I think.

    I'm also v. tired -didn't sleep too well last night because of the heat. So, this evening, I think I'm going to take it gently. I will do the following (and only the following!) this evening;
    • Put washing on line when cycle has finished
    • Dyson the living room getting the bits of dust up from where the plastering was done yesterday.
    • Clean the bath (shower curtain and mats were changed at the weekend)
    • Clean the basin
    • Clean the toilet
    • Parcel up any ebay stuff ending today just in case someone pays quickly
    • Sort out Buster's address and email ORF ops
    • Try the phone number I have for the person who won an auction 10 days ago and who hasn't paid and hasn't responded to emails. If that don't work, then one more email, giving them until Saturday to response otherwise NPB dispute will be opened.
    • Have large G&T in the garden
    • Cook dinner (pasta I think - it's quick and easy)
    • Flop in front of TV.

Hope you feel better soappie, my hayfever went mental as of yesterday:confused: It was absolutely fine up until then other than the odd sniffle.
