That's enough for today! I'll switch the line 1/2 over tomorrow and try and get them working on the same phone.
Thanks,
Ferd
I also entered incorrect ID & password when I first set up Sipgate and as gavinp as stated it's easy to get things wrong. But with a bit of help, luck and judgement most people get there in the end. Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -

Thanks

Yes I have 2 DECT phones that can select either line 1 or line 2. I paid £50 for an old BT Diverse 2 Line switch including the 2 DECT phones. Calls come in from Sipgate on line 1 (which is line 2 on the PAP2) and all our stored numbers dial out on line 2 (Voipbuster line 1 of the PAP2). We can choose to dial out on line 1 (Sipgate line 2 on the PAP2) if Voipbuster is out of service.
Meanwhile I have sent for the 2 line switch from the US (approx £30) so I can change the older BT DECT system for my orignal (6 months old) 4 phone DECT system. The US product looks ideal for what we are trying to do, much better than scouring the UK for old 2 Line Diverse units.
At 2am this morning I unlocked my second (spare / portable) PAP2. Once again thanks for the original post. Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
Thanks - just checking - I thought someone had worked out how to do this with the PAP2 config.
I don't need the facility for inbound Sipgate/outbound VoIPBuster or SIPdiscount but it would be nice to be able to do. I have an inbound 0845 number for VoIPBuster - not that it ever gets used.
I wonder if there is any method of doing this using Sipura firmware (I appreciate that Line2 disappears with some versions)..
By the sound of it, quite a few people in the U.S. want the same functionality so perhaps one of them will crack it.
Thanks

TBH though - once our stock goes we wont be replenishingThere are some better routers coming out
Are you still around Broadbandbuyer?
Could you (or any other techie) indicate what the new routers are (make, model, functions etc) and roughly when they will be available? Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
Hi
Im having intermediate problems with mine, sometimes i can always get a connection as shown by the pap2, but i have trouble reaching the 10000 test number, and reviving calls via sipgate
for example, last night i could not get through to the test number but someone was able to phone me without any problems but then they couldn’t phone me back and got an invalid number error, and a few days back someone phone me and could hear me but i couldn’t hear them.
I have set up port forwarding on my router, and think its all right. could anyone post screen shots of all the settings on their pap2 and router, so i could compare and check?0 -

Dave,
I know the thread is quite large but the screen shots for the PAP2 have been posted several times. As for the router settings, we all have different routers so the screenshots wouldn't apply to yours. Precisely which router are you using and hopefully someone with the same router will oblige with the screen shots.
For reference Sipgate have had problems recently, some incoming calls are correctly routed others are not. If you receive some calls and not others it will probably be a temporary Sipgate fault, don't go changing all your settings. It makes sense to set up Sipgate voicemail for number unanswered, busy and unobtainable. Although I think when Sipgate's system is down the voicemail doesn't work for unobtainable numbers. At least when it does work it emails you with a wav file of each message. Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -

Do you have access to the University's routers? Are you able to add the local IP of the PAP2 to the routers DMZ?Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
