Line 2 on my PAP2 has now logged in successfully using the SIPDiscount username and password.
It looks like there is a bit of time delay between creating the account and it being ready for use.
Thanks

Me too! - Are you able to make calls successfully? I keep getting an engaged tone.0

charlie12 wrote:Nah, it's just the way their system is currently setup. Finarea's whole VOIP operation is still under beta testing. Voipcheap.co.uk is another one. There's no ad/spyware in my sipdiscount.exe.
If you want an account I can setup one for you with a dummy email and password which you can change afterwards. Edit: actually I'm not sure if you can actually change user/pass yet but I can still set up an account for you if you want to play around with it- though it's not currently working for new users as mentioned in my post below.
OK, I'll accept your opinion, still seems strange, but if all their other products are setup for softphone registration, I can see why they would create an exe instead of designing some php or asp etc.
I'll go register nowMay as well have another line for my pbx

Cheers, Des.
Their website indicates you can test the system without any registration. It allows 1 minute calls for free to 'all the known world'.

Thanks

Yes, calling a landline number - 0208xxxxxxx
So I'm dialing 0044208xxxxxxx. I've also tried 00440208xxxxxxx, and various combinations removing the zeros, etc.
I have a feeling it might be my dial plan, could you possibly paste yours here so i can compare it with mine:
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

Where did you get that dial plan from and what does it do?
My plan (albeit for other providers) is a simple (xx.|*xx.|**xx.|#xx.)Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -

I haven't changed my dial plan from the default but I have pasted it below anyhow - it looks the same as yours:
*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxx
Do you have a dialtone when you pick up the phone ?
Is the "DTMF Tx Method" set to INFO which I think is the only thing I have changed ?
If that doesn't work, PM me your email address and I'll send you a screenshot of my line 2 setup.
Thanks

It's the default plan that was there from the start, I presume it was from the original Vonage settings. It looked complex to me so I didn't want to change it.
I've just tried using yours but I'm still getting an engaged tone when dialing out.
I'll paste my full settings page in a sec.

Thanks - yes I get a dialtone. The DTMF Tx Method was set to Auto but I've changed it to INFO and it hasn't made a difference. I've just taken some screenshots, if you could compare the settings to yours that'd be appreciated. Thanks.0
