svkhtn, if you still don't have any luck, perhaps your PAP2 is having trouble connecting out to the Internet...

Can you ping it (start.. run.. cmd.. ping <ip>) from another PC on the network? (edit: scrap that, you can access the web config so this is irrelevant ;))

How is the PAP2 connected? Do you have a router? If so which one?

Yes, I do have a router (D-Link DI-514). Connection is fine.
I tried every single info I read but still no go :(

Unlocking process went smoothly, but the configuration for line1&2 doesn't work.

    svkhtn,

A refresh is fine, I never reboot my PAP2.

If the main info page states unable to connect you obviously have a problem. I have seen it a few times but can't quite remember what the fix specific fix was.

On one occassion it was because I had the user ID & passord for sipgate all mixed up (they are a bit confusing). Double check password etc.

Servers are operational, wife has jsut finsihed 45 minute voipbuster call to her mum.

At first I also thing the user/password of sipgate, but it is not. I am very careful with that. The username/pwd are the ones got from My Account after logging into the sipgate.

I have no idea why it doesn't work :(

    I keep trying.

Check the System\Primary DNS entries - if they are both blank, put the internal IP address of your router in one of the fields.

    Thanks

I think the problem lies in the router. However, I put the local IP of PAP2 into DMZ and also forward ports 5060, 10000 to it.

    Any other ideas ?

    Thks!

    Wow, finally I sorted.
The problem is I set up a MAC filter for my router but I totally forgot.

After trying every single combinations, I came to think the problem with the router. I went through the router setup and found that I have the MAC filter on.

Too much security ==> waste me 7 hours to figure it out

Anyway, thank you very much for your help!!!

    Great news.

Despite gavinp's comments the PAP2 isn't too difficult to configure. It might have literally hundreds of settings buy voxilla.com will do most of them for you. Generally if VOIP doesn't work it is normally human error (I used incorrect sipgate details originally) or router problems.
