Give them a chance.
Agree! I know there has been probs but as I've said, personally so far so good. Will be transferring out of ICICI to linked account for the first time in mid-Dec, so we'll see how that goes. Fingers crossed!!!0 -
It all seems a bit amateurish.
(1) The details of the linked account displayed when depositing should show both Name and Account No.
(2) The Direct debits (I have two of course, like others!) have no reference to ICICI but show my name as a reference. If every DD had my name as a reference I wouldn't have a clue which one was which.
(3) They haven't answered my question about the second DD which, for all I know, might be set up to credit someone else's account.
Overall I am not impressed, and anyway there are two other accounts currently paying 5.25%, and I have opened one of each!".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -
Requested ICICI bank to transfer £20 from our nominated account
[£10 to my ICICI account/£10 to wife’s ICICI account] on
Tuesday 15th November 05.
ICICI bank state that first transfers can take up to 8 working days.
Both our ICICI bank accounts were credited with £10 on
Thursday 17th November 05 [3 working days]
BUT £20 was not deducted from our nominated account until
Monday 21st November 05.
Four days AFTER the amount was credited to our ICICI accounts.
If this is typical of ICICI bank transfers then I have to applaud them on this occasion. Interest earnt on money deposited with ICICI on the 17th November,
while interest continued to be earnt on the same sum in our nominated account until the 21st November.
We will now try a second transfer from our nominated account which ICICI bank state can take up to 2/3 working days.Do It To Them Before They Do It To You

I opened an account in my wifes name on the 1-11-05 with a £50 sum.
When the account was opened I transfered a sum of £500 from my bank on the 11-11-05.
It appeared in the account on the 24-11-05.
Had a phone call on the 25-11-05 from a lovely Indian lady apologising for the delay, but that they had encountered a techincal problem and i was assured there would be no loss of interest from the deposit made on the 11-11-05.
On checking my bank account today 26-11-05 the £500 pounds has still not left my bank account.
So I claim the record up to now.

I have received a User ID number, account number and a password number through the post, but cannot access my account. I keep getting the message that the password has not been recognised. Emails I've sent have been unanswered. Lucky I only put in £1. I doubt that I'll ever see that again! Be warned!0

Hi,
I have got my first interest on my account and noticed a debit of "20% CHARGE WITHHELD".
Any idea what thats all about?
Cheers,
Mike0 -
The 20% debit charge is the tax rate for interest earned on savings. It seems ICICI credit interest gross and deduct the tax.
All banks I know always credit net of tax.
