I think ICICI’s behaviour is more normally that done for a business account.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0

I keep getting the message that the password has not been recognised. Emails I've sent have been unanswered. Lucky I only put in £1. I doubt that I'll ever see that again! Be warned!
Are you typing all your information in or do you use any pasting? I recall a similar problem with my first access attempt, I called them at the time, and a very nice lady told me not to paste any of the data. All worked swimmingly from thereon in for me.
I would recommend you call them rather than waiting for answers to emails. I got excellent service every time I called but on emails, they are somewhat slow (probably getting thousands, and going through them FIFO).0 -

Ahh ok, thanks0 -
So as said, no problems with transferring money into linked account, in fact it arrives day before leaves my Barclays so one day "free" interest. Tried my first transfer back to Barclays, left ICICI Thursday, in Barclays Saturday morning. And yes I did check, it only debited the once!0

Very impressed so far. I rate it up there with EGG for ease of use.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0

We have trouble accessing our account, as passwords don't work. Nice, if somewhat muddled conversation with Dania?, this morning resulted in us being told that she could get into our account. Ah well! That's alright then.
Apparently within ten working days we should receive new passwords. My wife was never sent one in the first place. (Hope the £950 I recently despatched, to supplement the opening fifty, has arrived!)
Merry Christmas everyone, anyway.0 -
I too am impressed with their service.
When I had to ask for my password again they sent it by return post and transfers have been completed without any problem at all.0 -
David Aston:
Hi :-)
You say We have trouble accessing our account...
I infer this must therefore be a 'joint account'.
My question is this: Is it in BOTH names? I ask becausemy wife and I also have a so-called 'joint account' too but it is in MY NAME ONLY and my wife, despite receiving an e-mail from HiSAVE telling her the Account Number is the same as mine and giving her an individual different Access Number and her own Password, she cannot access it.
I am also wondering about the certificate we will jointly receive from HiSAVE at the end of the financial year, which will give details of the amount of Interest Paid and Tax Deducted for our two Tax Returns.
Naturally, she intends to telephone them about the Password problem but I still believe this bank to have very badly trained staff, to be 'unaware' on basic matters (ie, the Tax return implications and taxation differences for single as against joint accounts) and also to be exceedingly poor at putting matters right, which affect their operation in the UK as a whole.0 -
Hmm, here is a new one, I now have 4 Direct Debits in my name from ICICI, they seem to set up a NEW DD everytime I transfer any money. Its a bit rediculous. Anyone else noticed this?
I want to clean it up if I can as I am losing track (and the will to live) of all the DDs!0 -
ICICI is a nightmare. They lost £10,000 of my money during a transfer out to the linked a/c. Customer service appalling, don't bother ringing the freephone number in India, they are only note takers. The london number takes ages to ansa and then they put u thro to wrong dept. But I shall share with u a direct number for head of complaints- Mrs Daya 020 7201 1074. It has taken 3 weeks to get my money. My a/c is now closed. (that takes them at least a week as well, despite what the web site says, and involves much e-mailing and phone calls.) Believe me the high interest rate is not worth the stress. Oh and don't believe them when they say "by the end of today" because it does not happen that day.0
