The %ages on this poll and in the Daily Record don't tally, do they? The Daily Record is referring to the first poll - which, statistically is less relevant (68 responders vs 97 in the new poll). Would have been good if the Daily Record had used more up to date info.0 -
I don't really expect anything accurate from tabloids. (I Don't read 'em)0

Looks like ICICI are gearing up again. Just had a Advertiorial off Fool for the account, and they're a 'featured product' at http://www.fool.co.uk/savings/savings.htm?NavLoc=LN&NavFrom=home&NavTo=savings.
Not in any of the 'best of' tables yet though. Good luck to all new applicants...Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
I opened an account with ICICI quite easily but have only experienced problems since . It has taken up to two weeks to transfer funds both in and out and I am currently waiting for the funds on my account to reach my clearing bank after giving notice on Friday 14th. October (one working day according to their terms and conditions !)0

That's less than a 12hr turnaround, so it sounds OK so far. I suppose only time will tell if they can credit monies into my account as quickly as that.
As this is my first real savings account, I am really keen on this working out. I'll post back here with an update over the next few days.
Well, I got my confirmation email on 19/10 and the £1 cheque has left my current account, but so far no password in the post. I've just emailed them... we'll see and I'll post back here with another update.0 -
I still have not received my money into my clearing bank account so I phoned ICICI . They told me that it takes eight -yes that is eight - working days to transfer money from their Hisave account to a clearing bank account . when pressed they said they would investigate and would phone me back in two working days . No wonder they can afford to pay high interest . They hold onto your money so long that the true rate of interest must be lower than you could get elsewhere !!0

Complete breeze to set up. Went very smoothly.
The delays people are experiencing with the initial deposts are for new account set ups, after that, there shouldn't be any delays for transfers to the account and funds will appear typically in 3-5 days. Cheers and all the best!I know nothing0 -

I have had my test pot in there since august and i haven;t recieved a penny!!
Last month it was wait and it will show!!
I wonder what excuse they will give this month!!

Had interest in the first month of opening even though it says it will be paid in the second! No other problems.0
