This thread is a continuation of THIS THREAD
Clinical depression is a recognised condition that affects people in many different ways often altering the sufferers personality and ability to function in a 'normal' manner. It can affect thinking, judgement, and social behaviour in ways that cause serious problems and embarrassment.
If the depression support thread on MSE is to continue it must be remembered that not all posters on this thread will always be able to express their feelings in a nice, sociable way.
If you find the posts of any particular member difficult to deal with then the ignore facility is available. Just as one person may not be in a place where they can post 'nicely', another may not be in a place where they are able to read said posts.
Please remember that this is a money saving site and the following should not be discussed
Medication
Treatments
Conditions
PM's are private and should not be posted in a thread
Please respect the fact that MSE allows this thread on what is a moneysaving site
Other places where help/support is also available
NHS Direct
Samaritans
Mind
Depression Alliance
No Panic
Fellowship of Depressives Anonymous
B-eat
OCD-UK
Equilibrium
National Phobics Society

hi all, how is everyone, not been around for a while, having internet probs, and waiting for new modem.
had a lovely massage today which was really relaxing, then went to see my parents this afternoon.
got back just before son was due in from school, so didnt bother locking the door, and my ex called and just walked right into my house, totally unexpected. was totally shocked and felt scared and after he left, i was shaking and in tears, taken me until now to calm down.

Oh my goodness, just found this new thread! How's everyone tonight?
Hi SF  Was totally lost!Just found the new thread now! How's your day been?
Shazrobo, hope you are better now, and feel more relaxed after your shock today.
What's everyone been doing tonight? Seems pretty quiet here!0 -
Ooo we've been moved again.lol.
Ccstar - I only answer the door if I'm expecting people. I get very anxious when someone knocks on the door because the sound makes me jump Heck, my own shadow makes me jump.lol.
I'm not sure what it is about answering the door that I don't like but sometimes I get scared about seeing someone I don't want to see or someone who has hurt me. so that may be part of the reason why.
Could be kids playing "knock down ginger" though. =/

We had a nice meal tonight and a bottle of wine. Made us feel better:). OH and our son are off out to an event tomorrow, so getting house to self - will have a pamper day.
I know what you mean, I can get jumpy too. I used to quite like people at the door until one house I kept getting horrible people coming to our door, and this was in a nice area. I was the same about phone calls but they were mostly sales calls, so use my answerphone to screen people. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
