Thought I would mention, we got our code around three or four weeks after the switch was complete. Was expecting a much longer wait.

Pretty good deal really especially as I have switched to EDF Blue and can move again for free when we want to.

It seems to be done through drop wines, and is charging for postage and packing - has anyone else had the current deal in this way?

Edit: I attempted what another poster had done with Virgin and it worked fine with no postage charge.
  • I received my evoucher from Drop Wines but their site refused to let me order as the voucher was apparently not valid.
Emails to Drop Wines and Uswitch have evoked no response - DUD OFFER!!!!

    Welcome to MSE, Chris2too!

    A competitor of uSwitch perhaps?
or have you followed the advice given in the OP and PM'd MSE Archna with your details?
Don't tell me she hasn't responded to you either...

I received my confirmation email from uSwitch when I wanted to move to nPower. 6 weeks on I've heard nothing from nPower. uSwitch said they contacted nPower with my details, nPower said they hadn't received anything. Neither seem willing to help me so I'm using another switch site.

I chased up my voucher today and received my code within a couple of hours - I got a £60 case of wine (no choice about contents) with no delivery charge. I look forward to receiving it!

Well once you receive it, can you update me whether its worth buying or not....

I had problems with this offer last year. I clicked on the link from MSE using Uswitch, the offer was for 8 free bottles of Virgin wine, 4 chrystal wine glasses and £20 in the wine bank.
I had some problems with the website so called Uswitch to explain this, the girl I spoke to said there was some problems and she can do it all over the phone. I said that I would prefer to use the site as I wanted to accept the free offer, she said that I will still be eligible for the offer so I proceeded to do it over the phone. When I got the confirmation email, it had a voucher for £60 off my first order when I order one of their Welcome Cases worth £109.99 from Virgin wines, this was not the offer that I was applying for so called Uswitch again, got some one else who said he had only been there 3 days and it would be better for the other person to deal with. Message was for her to call me back. That was 11 April 2012. Later in the year (think it was nearer Christmas time) I sent a letter (recorded delivery) with copies of all the paperwork, offer and emails. To date I still have had no response from Uswitch. I am very disappointed as was looking forward to enjoying these wines for switching from British Gas to EDF. I have now given up chasing this but will not use Uswitch again.
  • Are people still having problems with this offer? Is the problem with uSwitch or with Naked Wines?

I've just received an email from uswitch regarding this wine offer and it says that people receive a free case of wine after they have switched.

But if you read the email in more depth it's actually a voucher TOWARDS a case of wine.

The reason why I ask is because https://www.yoursuresave.com is also giving away a £40 wine voucher for Naked Wines which you use towards a case of wine but at least there is no confusion about the offer like uswitch.
    I am a moneysaver

You only get free wine if you use the MSE link.

Anyone else just gets a voucher off wine. MSE do explain all this :)
(It's actually explained in the OP ;))

The free wine is currently supplied by dropwines.com and only applies if you switch both gas & electricity.

If you only switch one fuel, then there is an alternative offer of a voucher worth £44.99 off a case of wine from Naked Wines (it should be possible to order a case of cheap plonk for that, but you can paythe difference if you have more expensive tastes)

You'll also pay £4.99 for next day delivery from Naked Wines ... and this voucher offer ends Aug 14th

The link you provide is just an affiliate link to energyhelpline.com
(There's a special MSE link to energyhelpline available that gives you cashback which you can spend on whatever you want)
