There appears to be a shocking lack of information on phone insurance online, wondering if anyone has advice for the best way to go about insuring a 4s?
I am not looking to take out a bank account, and want a reputable company with good reviews without an extortionate cost.
Surely tons of people have iphones with insurance already that know how to best go about this? Not all companies can be terrible!
thanks in advance0 -
Insurance is something we treat as a value but doesn't want to use it, anyhow, my OH had an insurance with fonesure and she made a claim recently due to the fact that the phone was stolen from her bag whilst she was walking inside the train station, she was not mugged/robbed, whatsoever, but it seems the definition of THEFT for these insurance companies is only when there is force involved otherwise it won't be considered as THEFT at all, to my understanding, if you are mugged, or if there is force involved, then it's not THEFT, but robbery. Now, I will exhaust all options on their complaints procedure until I will escalate this to the ombudsman, we'll see how far will this go. . .0

yeah, saw that thread too, OH didn't know that time when she got the insurance, lesson learned though, still have to go through the complaints procedure and see how it goes in the end. . .0

Once is enough to lose a £500 iphone!0 -
If you lose it once in your life it makes no sense to pay £10p.m. for many years.0

My insurance with insurance2go was £6 a month until they struck me off for my debit card expiring and me not informing them of the new card number in time. Now the rules have changed that they only insure phones under 6 months old. Not impressed! So I'll be looking for a new policy.
I do actually consider insurance worthwhile for peace of mind as even after a year my phone would still cost £500 to replace. The likelihood of damage, theft or loss is actually quite high for the average person especially if you travel a lot. Can only hope they pay out for genuine claims of course!!!0 -
Hello all.
I'm looking into iphone insurance and wondered if anyone had an opinion on http://www.protectyourbubble.com/
It's £5.99 a month and the excess looks reasonable....?0 -
Search the board for 'bubble'.
Notorious for using "reasonable precautions were not taken" excuse for not paying.0
