    Afternoon all.
Cloudy day and been looking like rain so I held back on some washing........now I think I could have done it, hung it out and it would have dried by now.
Collected a freecycle scanner, tv aerial boster and carpet tiles this morning.......no instructions for the scanner so that'll take me a while to work out (if I ever do ! )
OH has treated himself to latest Paul Welled CD despite appointment with bank tomorrow to grovel...........................lol

Hope you have a good day and hugs (((((((((:o )))))))))) to those who need them

    Afternoon all,

back from Little Canada (PGL, Isle of Wight) in one piece - though aching all over & covered in mossie bites! (must put some toothpaste on them). Didn't realise how unfit I was. Ok, I did, but I was ignoring the fact. Had a great time though & conquered one of my fears - did "tunnel trail" which involved crawling through pitch dark tunnels under a building...!!! Knackered my knees though, lol!!! Food was appalling unfortunately.... all processed stuff, not very healthy at all -very obvious they were catering at absolute minimum cost & as we were last sitting each time we got lukewarm dregs of what was left. Had I been a 'private' customer (rather than part of a group) I'd have created somewhat of a fuss...... Despite that though I had a great time :)

Skim-read the past 3 days threads so haven't all info. however, ((((loopy-lou))))) and I think the rosebush is a lovely idea.
((((((hugs)))))) to all others needing them too. Martyn has gone very quiet...?!
Betheebee, glad the op went ok & hope DB's results are ok.

Had cereal this morning & then carrot & creme fraiche soup for lunch, with an "oops" little prawn/pasta salad from Asda. Not snacked & determined to keep up the good work & get fitter now my placement is finished & I have time to do exercise!!! Well done those who have lost/are losing weight too :)

I'm sure there was loads more I was going to say, but still a bit tired so brain not functioning properly yet. Hope everyone else is doing ok!

    Afternoon everyone

((((hugs)))) for anyone who could do with one. esp. Tattycath cos you sound so down

Hi Super Saver - you’ll like it here, they are all so friendly, its like going to a giant coffee morning/afternoon/evening :D

N9eav & Mioliere – I agree re forms, just my first name and surname are 20 letters long so I don’t have a hope of getting them in a small box!

Congratulations to Shez and Weeping River my s/dtr and her mum are doing our local one later this month

Pen-Pin – glad your new helper seems to be working out ok, and no you are not a bad mother re the being open about sex – much better for them to find out from home than friends at school or teen magazines. with my daughter, I always said – she tells me everything, sometimes a little bit more than I want to know.

JackieO – hope you are having a great time with your brother

Taplady/Chrisca – soooooo agree about online shopping, we all work hard, life is too short to spend half the weekend battling round the supermarket. My parents both in late 70’s do all their shopping online. Not just groceries – everything

Loopylou – it is definitely not sad, I think the rose bush is a lovely reminder for your little one.

Mrs Mix – your post re school phoning you made me laugh, I have done that in the past too also the other way around, got them ready for school, walked down and realised no one else was there

Well you can tell by the fact that I am posting in the afternoon and that I have had time to read the thread that I didn’t get the temp job I was up for on Friday. Apparently I was ok (was told that I interviewed well) but they decided that they would shift people about and not take anyone on. Whatever.

I have applied for another job today that on paper looks like it was meant for me, time will tell.

Have also had phone call to tell me I have interview next Tuesday for one I applied for a while back.

Tea tonight is a Chinese chicken and mushroom thingy, got the recipe of here, was a bit unsure if OH would eat it as he doesn’t like ‘fancy’ cooking as he calls it but had phone call to say he’s on a night out tonight. Mind you, had phone call since and he’s broken down, waiting for a mending man to come and fix his trailer awwwwwwwww.

OMG I have been rambling far too long – better go and do something – or on the otherhand, loads more stuff to read on here

    cyas

Afternoon all long time eh? Well (fingers crossed)I am better:j :j so will be boring you all again! I haven't read the posts that I have missed but am hoping to do so. Pen Pin!! am DELIGHTED to see you back safe and sounding so happy. You were allways in my thoughts and I did keep you in my prayers. I managed to record the tv show and had a FANTASTIC day everyone made DH and I really welcome(DH was a right state and he was only keeping me company!!!) having my make up done was fab and the actual recording was loads of fun and nowhere near as scary as I thought it might be. Have to try to get back to "normal"(whatever that could be taken to be here:rotfl: ) Have really been neglecting everything whilst I have been ill and then trying to get ready for last Thursday. So now need to sort freezer out, get cooking, get organised and generally get back into hte swing of things. DH has been fab and is really struggling with the "great SATS marking fiasco" Thank goodness I am not SAT marking this(or any other year for that matter:rotfl: )year. I also have to read and reply to all my PM'S(Thank you) That will be done in the next 24 hours or so. Honest.
In keeping with the new(?????????????????) improved:rotfl: :rotfl: (???) me am going to go and cook something:confused: (think I remember:rotfl: )

    Evening all
Hugs to loopy, PP, Mrs Mix & Smokey, welcome supersaver, Annie lovely to see you posting, Catowen, glad things are looking up for you.
I've had a man round to move my phone line, it's the first step to rejigging phone/broadband/sky & he charged £45, which I was really pleased with as BT wanted £180. It also means the phone is no longer in the kitchen, so it makes meal times quieter.
I was inundated with people asking questions about Katy today, loads of things she was meant to finish/find/return & I was supposed to be taking it all in to work, I had to do my best Manuel (Fawlty Towers) impression & say 'I know nothing' but it did get tedious.
    Have a good evening.
    Hugs Hester
