You know, i'd cancell immediately before they send you anything.
I had a free trial, called to cancel and they insisted i had signed up 3 days earlier than i had (i know i'm right because Quidco tracked it that day, and it was a Friday afternoon and i signed up just before going away for the weekend). I have continued with the subscription for a month, got very few titles out a poor selection in the first place. I am now waiting for my last disk to go missing in the post.... but i have proof of postage and i have downgraded to the £5 package incase they continue to charge me.
Has anyone spoken to their bank about blocking the transactions?
Ultim29 if you don't like people 'taking advantage' of companies may i suggestion you find a board to frequent who's motto isn't 'consumer revenge'. Whether i would or wouldn't have taken out a subscription with this company is irrelavent. The customer is entitled to cancell according to the terms and conditions of the offer and MMS website. They are not abiding by their terms and conditions, so i have little sympathy and will be taking the matter to trading standards if they proceed to think they can withdraw money for a service i have cancelled and am not using."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." I already got my disc out, but I only put one on my list so they can't send me any more out. I am going to send it back on Monday and get my proof of posting.Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

Welcome to the complaints board!!
I spoke to my bank re. MMS taking payments, and they said that you cannot block transactions as you have given the details to the company.
Unfortunately, I lost my purse that day, and had to cancel the card I had registered on Mymoviestream, so luckily, MMS couldn't access my account-the number on the card was cancelled and the replacement had a new number on it you see. So every cloud has a silver lining!
If you make sure that you send every disk with proof of postage and follow up with a letter sent recorded delivery to the MD of MMS asking for written notification within 7 days if your account ISN'T closed, keep copies of everything. That way, If the worst case scenario arose, at least you would have a pile of proof that you followed the T&Cs of the contract.
Liney, I spoke to consumer direct (first point of contact before TS) and they logged the incident and gave me a reference number for the complaint.
Also, you will find LOADS of complaints about MMS on the web, so it's really important to be on your guard!
Furthermore, I was offered 2 free Odeon tickets as part of my "Free-no catch-easy-to-cancel" trial, and NEVER received them!

You have a right to your opinion, however repeating it over and over incase we didn't hear you the first time is just rude. Why would you come to post on a board just to have an argument? What's the point
I also have the right to my opinion. My opinion is you would be happier posting on one of the other boards who's ethos you agree with. There are well over a dozen here to choose from, so why go out of your way to irriate people. Sadly enough, previous posts by him are very similar on other threads, so I think this DOES indeed make him happy. He just wants to be heard and craves attention I think...

You could stick to the 5 star service board, or as i said, one of the well over a dozen forums here on MSE who's ethos you do agree with instead of a vent board about poor service, when you obviously think poor service is down to the customer.
If i was an athiest, should i search for religious boards and post opposing arguments just because i can? Or tell people their beliefs are not valid because they are not mine, over and over and over and over again?
