    Eriery,

I recommend you call consumer direct. They are now part of Trading Standards. They will tell you the best plan of action. They will also log the incident and give you a reference number for future recourse.

If you google consumer direct you will be able to find your local number.

uktim, have you read the actual title of this thread?
You do not have a complaint against MMS.
Plus you seem to know a lot of insider info about how the Mymoviestream affiliation scheme works and what Martin does or does not get from MMS.

All the other people here have valid and genuine reasons for being upset with MMS. Seems you just have an issue about Martin and how he runs his site - maybe send him a PM. Tell him how you feel.

For genuine users like me, who were happy paying members, and have suffered bad customer service from MMS or been charged without permission, please note that I have written a lettter to the MD confirming my account is closed and confirming they won't make any more unauthorised charges from my debit card, via Recorded Delivery.

I suggest you do the same so you have something in writing, just in case they do to you what they did to Eriery. It's a horrifying possibility as so many have had this experience - so please do put something in writing.

yeh!!! and i think you should write to them and ask them to confirm and detroy all your personal details!!!!! they make people use direct debit which kind of entitle them to have access to take monies from your account whenever they want?!
you will never know when they decide to mess with your account!
months ago they took £90.00 from my account and then refunded back. although i didnt lose anything but I am not happy with the way they treat my
personal details. they didnt notify me or apologise to me whatsoever
imagine one day you want to get some monies out from your account and just realise all your monies gone!!!!

Yes, but I've always been on topic/related topics in which the thread has meandered. My last few posts just being an answer to yours (or an extension of in my above post) I believe so surely on topic!

Thats because I'm an Affiliate Marketer!

Ok - so maybe we can agree that:
    - the main thread topic is 'Complaints against MMS'
    - Your first reply was post #2 (defending MMS) and most posts have been in their favour
    - You yourself do not have any personal complaints against MMS
    - nor can you contribute helpfully to anyone who has suffered at their hands and actually has any issues against MMS.
    - You have specific insider knowledge about the MMS marketing scheme, Martin's earnings from this etc.

If you have any on-topic helpful information about how we can be assured of definate cancelation and no more fees being taken without our permission (having all paid good money for membership and canceled as per the MMS rules), please do.

Totally agree Eager learner. UKTIM29 is on my ignore list, as I can no longer be bothered to reply to him. When he first started commenting on this board, I had a look at other posts by him, most of which are him telling people not to bother complaining about companies/services and that they were out of order for posting queries about compensation.

This really does raise the question "Why is he here??"

Eriery, let us know what happens! At least you can track whether they received it now. Keep your Post Office receipt safe!!

The answer (for both of you), because I'm just as entitled to voice my opinion as everyone else is. I thought you're suppose to be ignoring me?

I tend to see him as the voice of reason (amongst some others.) As much as people want to complain about what he says, he simply offers the other side of the coin and there tends to be justification for his opinions.

As much as people tend to come here and post soon after their "traumatic" events, I still think it's valid that someone is willing to say "you're going way over the top, this isn't worth it, you probably shouldn't be asking for Terry Leahy's email address, the fact you're BOGOF didn't go through is not a major incident, you're entitled to a refund for what you've overpaid, speak to the shop and they'll give you it, and no, I don't think they should give you vouchers and send a grovelling fake apology letter to you"

I paid good money for the service and was a member. I simply think they should not be able to continue to debit my card whenever they want to, so this thread has been helpful to me and others with this specific problem whilst I try to ensure MMS don't do that to me as well.

I agree that anyone going 'over the top' over a few pennies is wasting their time. But this is £13.49 a month even if you have canceled (ad infinitum), plus a possibility of hundreds of pounds as other members have described.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. My almost 700 thankyou's in the vent forum prove that!

This fact probably causes a sour taste for some!

Incidentally Eagerlearners thread started in another part of this forum has now been locked by a MSE mod. None of my posts have been removed, that says it all really!
