That is precisely the matter in hand superscaper.

UKTIM29 is more than welcome on here, as on any thread, but as mentioned by yourself and Liney, it is a bit distracting and offputting from the whole purpose of this thread when he keeps telling folk "its their own fault" and "What do you expect?" etc. Totally negative.

I started this thread so people having problems with MMS can get together and help one another. I didn't start it to debate the ethics of cancelling during a free trial and the consequential financial drain that may or may not have on the company in question!

That is why I suggested UKTIM29 start a thread of his own, where people with similar opinions can join him and debate about whatever they choose!

    Anyways, Happy sunday!

I do sometimes agree with you and have even thanked you myself on occasion but to be honest a lot of the time I really cringe at the way you post and talk to people.

This kind of proves a point I was making earlier that any posts like that will be myself responding in the same tone. Check this post made by the op of this thread Superflygal towards myself in another thread:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=11919447#post11919447

It is childish, immature, rude, persumtious (this isn't a bloody English exam for gods sake). HC actually initiated the slanging match if you like which is why my posts are obviously in defense of myself.

Now need I say more! Superflygals halo has obviously fallen off.

Looks like the mods have seen that post now SFG.

Its presumptious Tim btw; and you are quite correct, it isn't an English exam.

I am sorry if my response upset you. It's not nice when people have a go at you is it? Let's bury the hatchet, and be pals? What do you say?

Now back to the subject in hand: Mymoviestream!

No lets go to this post. Let people see what you're like! Lets see your version of 'burying the hatchet'!!! Because explain it to me, what version of burying the hatchet have you done there because I can't see it? And this is on a thread where a comment by a mod has said to stay on topic, you've started a conversation about apostrophes.

What poor education is that then? Mine is science based not English. Why is that a poor education?

My posts are points of view not personal insults. Where I then discuss another person will always be in defense of myself from an insult from them. Your just doing off your own back due to my earlier posts where you simply just didn't like my point of view. This has now been discussed enough to verify that I'm entitled to that point of view.

By the way my English happens to be perfectly in the average/above average category. Yours isn't flawless, so does that mean you have a poor education? Oh yes, you said you've been 'further educated'. What about people who have been further educated in science based subjects, does that not count? I'm also currently studying intenet business & marketing, so are those subjects a poor education as well?

So back to 'presumptuous'!!! Thats the correct way of spelling it I believe, you spelt it the same way as me.

Why is a science based education a poor education?

OK, Tim, you are clearly the most argumentative person I have ever come across, and cannot take a bit of reciprocal fun being poked at you.

I really think you have some serious issues, dear boy.

No offence, and nothing personal, but I am popping you back onto ignore, as I see no merit in continuing to debate with you.

    Good luck to you.

Are those the same issues then which motived you to write the posts in the other thread? You're doing the same thing. It's no good writing things in different threads so people on here won't see them!
and cannot take a bit of reciprocal fun being poked at you.

People will know what you were up to. No ones going to fall for 'reciprocal fun'.

Your making assumptions about peoples education (makes me question yours (and I expect everyone else), you've based it only on English) and then wonder why they question you! Is that a sign of a good education?

Speaking of which, don't underestimate me, I won't fall for the rubbish you've written above. You were talking about creditability, I think yours has died now. There is defending yourself, then there is bullying. I am the former, you are obviously the latter.

I wish you would keep me on ignore, I wouldn't have had to write my last few posts then. Your bound to want to know what I've written though but lets hope you resist.

    Another thread hijacked!
Superscaper :T - the voice of reason - why aren't you a mod?

Too many threads on this board end up in a slanging match or 'let's denigrate the op' - hardly in the spirit the board was meant for. Sure, some people don't really have a valid complaint - but a quick and painless explanation from someone with the experience would do. Sometimes, god forbid, people even know they are complaining about small fry - and just want a rant. Fancy choosing the vent board for it:rolleyes:

But sometimes, people give a heads up about a poor service and this attracts others posting up similar experiences with the same company - as this one has tried to do. Surely that's got to be useful?

This board used to make interesting and informative reading, but not so much now. I know one thing - if I ever need help with a consumer issue I wouldn't come on here. Shame really, considering.

I would say thats partially right, but you would also have to accept some people might have had a different experience with that company and may write their comment. It's important to have things balanced rather than biased.

I think the number one motive for this thread was to try and dent MyMovieStreams reputation and the 'help' side of the thread has had to be accommodated to justify it's existence and make it look useful.

Problems can occur though when other try and dictate what people can write and what they can't eg posting "this isn't a thread for this" etc (which would seem to suggest amongst other things that my belief above is correct). This has happened in this thread and of course then a result of three pages of whos right & whos wrong etc.

The end of the day you may get people with different views or opinions on a subject. They are perfectly entitled to have that view.

You know, timmy, that's the most reasonable post I've ever seen from you, and I've seen a few;)

Yes, I agree a balanced view is useful. However, just think if everyone just wrote in for the 'status quo' - ie they don't have a complaint - a thread would be so long you couldn't read it.

In any retail business or service, there are going to be times when things go wrong. Not everyone is aware of the best procedure, and come on here for advice. Sometimes, they have tried to get recompense, but hit a problem - sometimes it is half their own fault for taking the wrong approach. Again, people on here can guide. sometimes - the retailer simply has no intention of willingly providing statutory rights, and in these cases in particular a thread like this tried to be can provide enormous help and support.

You, tim, claim to have a wealth of experience in retail, just think how useful you could be if you posted with the intention of helping the op :D

Personally, that's how I read this board - to provide a pooling of experiences, support and advice.

There is a discussion board for debates - and it can get as hot you like on there!;)
