If you have enough left for a thick slice per person Ham & Eggs is lovely with Chips and runner or stick beans.

    For small amounts:-
    Chicken & Ham pie
    Quiche
    Small cubes added to bolognaise
    Pea & Ham soup

    Hi everyone :)

I've got a smoked ham joint(boneless) in the freezer that could do with being used.

I'm a bit stuck for ideas with what to make it into when it's cooked, and I'm sick of pasta bakes really.
I'm going to cook it in the slow cooker, on low for about 6-7 hours.

Has anyone got any ideas for me please? :D

Slice gammon and serve with veg, potatoes and cheese or parsley sauce? Use the gammon to make a pie? Use the stock from the slow cooker to make soup?

These threads have lots of ideas that should help:

Hi, there are three things we like to do with left over gammon or ham. 1st. If we make a cheese & onion pie we chop some of the meat and add that to the mix. 2nd wrap some of the gammon around some leeks or add to the leeks chopped in chunks add a cheese sauce and bake, 3rd chunks of gammon are nice added to a lentil & carrot soup.

  • Hi moneysavers

I have got a gammon joint cooking nicely In the slowcooker we usually have quite a lot left over, but have you got any recipes for left over gammon?
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!
