MrsE changed her real name to a screen one.

Can't we just leave it there please.

Fall out with the screen name, but posting up her real one - or making reference to it isn't fair. [I know it hasn't been mentioned on this thread]

Believe me, we've had our fall outs too, but some things go beyond banter or debate.

MrsE made a mistake using her real name. Discussing something personal under that name was also a big mistake. We live and learn. We're also adults so perhaps it is time to leave that one buried

A hot tub is not going to help:rolleyes:

Sadly it's not on the action plan  :D

The amount of paperwork they have to do is unbelievable. Anyway, hopefully the adaptions will be carried out within 7 days, apart from the kitchen stuff which may take longer.

Yes... but she changed it because people disliked her after a thread she made...
I changed it for a very different reason...
And i have no idea what the goose comment means... anyone care to enlighten me?

No it was nothing to do with people disliking me.

It was to do with names & personal stuff.

If you are going to post about me, can you at least make sure your info is correct.
Do you get kicks out of bringing it up?

    Do you?

I think 90% of people will rememer a certain thread you made where everyone told you to grow up... and then you left...

Sorry to see you are leaving. Sadly it is people like this (slagging) that ruin it for others. I hope you come back soon, take care. xxx

    That's the year I joined! :o

    Anyway.

I remember a couple of years ago I was logged in late at night and saw a new thread in DFW. I never visit there because I'm not in debt, but the title caught my eye and so I went in. It was a desperate cry for help, someone in debt by 100k or so who had lost their job or something - don't remember the exact details, but this user admitted having been too carefree with spending, and now was talking of "ending it all". I had no idea what to advise, so I just posted to reassure this newbie, and suggested they hang around until someone knowledgeable arrived on the thread.

What I'm saying is that this user was in such a frame of mind that the last thing they needed was someone to start going on about living within their means, and reap as you sow, and the sort of unthinking criticism I have seen posted many times since.

People who come in here to seek help ALREADY KNOW they have a problem, and if it is their own doing they know that also. Rubbing it in is precisely what mse is NOT about.

I don't know what the OP's precise issue is/was, but I agree that one has a duty to curb their manner of expression when dealing with people seeking help or advice. If you want to criticise a particular attitude or lifestyle, start a thread in DT, and mention no names.

In short, treat others as you would like them to treat you. Personally, I've always found this to be an excellent compass for living, on and off line. :)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
