Leaving MSE for a bit.........

Hi :j
I have spent the last little while catching up reading threads on the benefits board and discussion time, and have decided to leave MSE for a while. I know that really no one will sob into their cornflakes, but I am posting this for a reason:p
There are genuine people in real need, for whom this site will be a lifesaver-it helped me so much when I first came here.:D
Over the last couple of weeks particularly, it seems to have become full of judgemental posts, from people with a holier than thou attitude.
There seems to be no empathy or tolerance on so many threads now. Even those started in good faith become a slanging match!
I am saddened that people who may take a peek at the site will be too scared to ask for advice when they really need it!
Please remember who this site is for-people who need it, not sad individuals that just want to feel better about themselves!

Sorry that you feel others shouldn't be allowed an opinion.
But theres no need to leave, though if you want to, your choice, you simply don't read those threads if they upset you.0 -
Just stay away from those boards then like I do.
No reason to leave the boards because of a few idiots.
But if you've decided to go for a bit then I hope you have a good holiday from MSE & hope to see you back soon."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -

I do know what you mean & I totally understand where you are coming from.
I think you & I have proved we can have a good debate, cross swords & still have a little chuckle as well? Even while acting out "prime minsters question time"!
Don't matter which side of the fence you are on, its people who can have a rip roaring debate & still share a chuckle or admit when they are wrong that are the greatest thing about MSE.
So don't go................
If you do, you've let the very people that can't debate without getting too nasty win.
1. I don't give a t0ss if there are any spelling mistakes in this:D
2. I'm on a flexi day, thats why I'm not a work, OK?:D0 -
and if you do go, don't come back with an AE - there is just no point.
But if I was you I'd just ignore the posts/boards that upset you.I saw two shooting stars last nightI wished on them but they were only satellitesIs it wrong to wish on space hardwareI wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0 -

Opinions are fine, this is a classic example, when did I mention opinions were not ok?! jump right on it GD!! It is the manner and language with which these opinions are expressed that cause me concern.0 -
