I know it's cheeky, but this is the only way I can be sure of posting!!!
Was totally knackered after looking after DGS today! Did read posts (eventually!!) but was too tired to post a coherent reply!!
Today I really need to crack-on. DS2's birthday is Monday ( poor devil, not been the same since 2001, he has even had comments that he shouldn't celebrate on the day anymore!!! Doh, lets really let the terrorists win shall we?!!) and I'm so behind I've not even started his gift buying!! Got a couple of ideas, but need to check with his wife first.
Do hope the poorly ones are feeling better today, especially kiwichick and moggins who come to mind. Kiwichick, I so admire you, three children that young take a lot of looking after!!! I've had 4 in two lots of two and know how hard that is, but you have had 3 in no time at all!!! I'd have been knackered the whole time!!:rotfl: :rotfl: At least my eldest was just 8 when I had the last!
Will try to emulate Kazonline today and do lots of 45 minute sessions, and just come on here for a 15 minute reward!:D I actually have some grass that needs cutting!:T :T That August rain did eventually have some result, and I have some green grass growing!! I also have dozens of dug-up bits where the squirrels are burying nuts!!! They drive me mad, I know they're cute but do they really have to bury so many nuts in my tiny garden? And when they dig them up again, could they please NOT leave the shells littered about, and could they pat the turf back in position?:rotfl:
Well I suppose I should think about bed, as time is marching on.
Oh nearly forgot, Penny-Pincher! love that bathroom!!! The guy sure did one good job for you, no wonder you're pleased!!
I got a slow-cooker yesterday!!! (No I'm lying, it was Thursday!!) Met ivyleaf for the very first time ( a lovely lady!! felt like I'd known her forever after just 5 or 10 minutes!!) and after we separated called into Robert Dyas and on a whim treated myself to the Morphy Richards!! Now need to sort out something to cook in it!!
I'm definitely going to bed now, hopefully will get a chance to post again later. Oh just wanted to say, I'm definitely going to try making bread from scratch, (not the packet of breadmix) and would welcome any advice. Particularly from thriftlady, since I know you don't use a breadmaker, if you can recommend a recipe for a beginner (ie foolproof!!!:rotfl: ) I'd be very grateful!!
Hope you all have good days today, and ((((hugs)))) to those that need a bit of support!!
CMxxxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Morning Churchmouse. Damn those pesky squirrals - I used to think they were cute until they ate all my bird seed from squirral proof feeders!!
Can't sleep as OH is away. Must go to bed soon as DS has football in the morning. Currently watching Roadhouse - not sure it's meant to be amusing though!!
Hope you OSers have a relaxing and fun filled weekend.

Good morning Churchmouse and Punky and all to follow.
I rarely post on the daily thread as I work evenings and I'm not often up early enough to join the rest of you in the morning, so I thought I'd say 'hello' before I go to bed.
It's been a quietish week here; In some ways it's good to have the children back to school, the house is so much tidier and I've had a bit of respite from the mess/nagging/squabbling etc, but dare I say it.....I'm missing them a little bit. Thank goodness for Tilly (our new kitten), who keeps me company.
Tonight was my last night at work, it was a clear/sunny evening and my first patient was a twenty five mile drive down the coast road.....It was a lovely drive and the sunset was amazing.
I'm off for seven days now....not much planned, although my elder son needs new rugby boots and hiking boots, so that will probably pretty much keep me busy tomorrow. I can't believe he has gone from size 7 to size 10 over the summer. He's only 12 and he's much bigger than I am.....can someone please reassure me he will stop growing soon?
I've done a fair bit of blackberry picking this week.....I think ours come out a bit later than the ones on the mainland. I've frozen loads and we've had blackberries and icecream, blackberry and apple pie and a blackberry and apple crumble for desert. We don't often do dessert in our house, so my youngest (6) is totally confused.
I also got some rosehips and found a good recipe for apple and rosehip jelly....I'll let you know how it turns out.
Anyway....It's time I wasn't here....
Good morning and have a great day, to all who are here and bright and breezy when I'm still in my pit tomorrow.

Goodmorning everybody,
I have just whoofed down my lunch and going into the kitchen in a mo to put on a chicken stew. We are then going up to vote. It's our state election today. I'ts up at the hall so a nice walk up there. Lovely day here. Hair turned out nice yesterday although a bit dearer than I usually pay. We went an had our pub tea last night with DD for DH F'day treat that we were suppose to go last week.
The guy who drives the courtesy bus to the ferry stuffed around so long, we missed it. Had to wait an hour in the coldwind for the next one. Rang them up this morning to complain
. We were all a bit miffed and don't think we'll be going back there again for a while. The food was nice though.
PP Bathroom looks great.
Better make tracks. Have a great day all. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning Guys!
Slept well last night, so am pleased. Got new tablets yesterday from my consultant. There auto-immune drugs and normally given to people who are having transplants
WM is on, DW is half full-but SIL is coming this morning to do the cleaning-so nothing else to do.
Have been invited to a friends for lunch today as its my birthday tomorrow, but we cant make that work. So, OH, DD & I are all going, and my friend and her mum are laying on a lunch spread. They live in a bungalow, so is very accessable for me:D
Received 2 vouchers from John Lewis yesterday for a friend and I to have coffee at their Bluewater store by the 20th October. It came in a little brochure, so if you get a little JL pack, dont throw it-grab the voucher from it first;) Also recieved £12 vouchers this week-saving for enough to do Waitrose in a couple of weeks time and stock up on things I like.
Breakie: Bacon Butty
Lunch: At Friends
Dinner: Spagbol & Garlic Bread
Will pop back on later, but need to go and have a bicce and tea.
Hugs to all.
