Morning all.......(((((HUGS))))))))) to those who need them,

Nice sunny morning quite warm too, washing to hang out a load done overnight. Must read the gas and leccy meters and send in the readings so I can see how the bills are going.

Over to see my quilting friend this afternoon, she wants me to show her how to put something on ebay........

Have slept quite well the last couple of nights, woke early this morning to find it was still dark at 5am so guess we will not have to get up too early tomorrow for the local boot sale. All the stuff is in crates in the sitting room, have to walk round it all. Will be glad to get rid of most of it....... I put the pine dresser in the paper but no takers, so have put some of the stuff back on it......looks like it will be staying for a while.

OH playing bowls this afternoon.... I have to take him and drop him and go go back and collect him at 6pm.

Right I am off for my caffine fix,

Welcome The Bride, you will find us a happy (mostly) helpful lot on here.

My O/H always turns into some sort of raving trolley monster when we go to ikea, can never seem to get out of the building without rowing:confused:

That shop should come with a health warning. I made the mistake of going when I was 38 wks pregnant with DD2, within 10 minutes of arriving my contractions started and I had her 4 hours later:eek:

  • OMG...My OH is like that in Ikea too. He gets annoyed as people have rammed me in my wheelchair with their trolleys. Last time he called some guy a to*ser and asked if he would like him to ram him and see how he likes it:eek:     ...my OH is a big softie but Ikea seems to bring the worst out in people:confused:

Ikea ... like the concept of the shop .. but DH and I tend to row in there .. so we try and avoid it like the plague! Only venturing with a specific item in mind .... or ..... going late at night when it's empty.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!

  • Morning all,

Had a bit of a lie in today as DS and DD are at Dad's house this weekend. Plan to take things easy today but still get a few jobs done. Still haven't had my information pack from British Gas. It's almost two weeks now. I have e-mailed them and asked them to confirm they are writing to the correct address and also asked them to tell me what the monthly dd payment will be. Heard nothing. Think I may have to cancel the switch and find another provider.

Got to change car insurer today. Managed to make huge savings through confused.com.

I will probably go to the indoor market today to buy some cheap material and thread to try out the sewing machine my cousin gave me when I visited her last week. Sewing isn't my forte. At school, I was so bad at sewing I was banished to the stock room to count buttons, pins, etc. while everyone else got to make things on the sewing machines.

    Time for tea I think.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Morning, all

I have to admit that I haven't had time to read the entire thread yet, so apologies if I miss anything. I'll catch up with it all later, over a cup of tea.

Yesterday didn't turn out how I imagined it at all - but never mind, I still managed to get two WM loads done and dried on the line. :j Got two more to get done today and then I think I'm all caught up from the bad weather we had recently.

I made a couple of loaves in the BM yesterday which were a bit of an experiment, as I was using normal Wholemeal Flour 50/50 with Strong Bread Flour, plus making sure I only used 5ml of oil. I normally don't measure it, but just chuck a glug in there and hope for the best! As I'm now on a low-fat diet, I thought I'd better! Unfortunately, I think the water was too hot and I killed the yeast, as they both came out like small house bricks. They're edible and taste not too bad - particularly when toasted - but I can see I shall have to try that one again!

A friend who is moving house has sent me a huge carrier bag of gorgeous blue wool to play with. I picked up a bag full of different colours from Freecycle the other day as well, so I'm spoiled for choice, right now! Our Freecycle Fish, Bill the Killifish, seems to be happy in our tank and thriving - its amazing what you find on offer via Freecycle! :D

Right, better get on - I've still got a stinky dog to get in the bath.

B : Wholemeal & Sunflower toast with jam
    L : Lovely lentil lunch
    D : Chicken Casserole
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

Welcome The Bride to OS. You have the same avatar as someone else on this site which I can't remember. It will come to me though. All in good time. :D

DH picked some mulberries this arv and will do some more tomorrow. Probably make the jam on Monday as we will be away most of tomorrow. I think I'm coming down with something. I feel like I"m getting a head cold.

Hope your curry turns out nice Prinny. I expect I'll see you here in the morning a bit worse for wear. :D Don't forget to start the thread. ;) Has DF seen your nostril jewellry yet? :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
