Afternoon all,
My dad is asleep infront of the tv, my mother is asleep in bed, the kids are building something in the garage (I banned the saw) and DH is on his way to the States. Churchmouse - sympathies for your son - dh is flying United Airlines this weekend and a friend had queried the safety of that given it;s so close to the anniversary - doh! - you have to carry on and beat the b***ers!
Am supposed to be tidying the fridge and putting away the organic veg that arrived yesterday - have started the delivery again to support local organic farms and the bag is huge this week!! Need to sort out what is in there - my parents have been here since Tues - so there will be quite a lot of eating up to do. Still there's always the dog...:rotfl:
Rugby registration this morning and then Mum and I went to the wool shop, where I got some stuff in the sale for Xmas cards and treated myself to a lovely book on crocheting lookalike "patchwork" quilts. Certainly won't have time before Christmas - lots of pressies to knit - but maybe after.....
Having pork chops tonight which I got reduced and lots of organic veg. Will do cabbage for Mum and me and leave some for tomorrow as bubble and squeak is the only way the boys will eat it - although they like braised red cabbage - wonder if you can braise green cabbage with apples - has anyone tried it?
Hiope everyone has a nice evening“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hi all,
Learning to save, it sounds as if you need to start on the antibiotics asap, is there not a drop in centre at a local hospital, or failing that I@d ring your dr's emergency service.
B Rzl I'll look out for you tonight.
Hope you've got back safely from IKEA Lynzpower. Did you buy lightbulbs? There's a comedian who says everyone buys lightbulbs in ikea, no matter what they've gone in for.
We went looking at Kitchens today but was very disappointed by the quality of most of them. The kitchen we'll be replacing is 25 years old and has hardly a mark on it and the ones we saw just didn't measure up. That was until we wndered into a showroom selling a german brand called pronom, they were to die for. Probably horrendously expensive but we have a fair bit saved up so I think we'll go for it, the difference in quality and design was just so noticeable. We wondered if it might be cheaper to go over to Germany to get it - will have to investigate.
Right now for the porch where huge spider has taken up residence:eek:
See you later
Sue
Oh, I knew there was something I wanted to say - Moggins hugs for your DS. Have you been in contact with Education Otherwise. They help home schoolers, my SIL educated both her boys at home for virtually all their education and I know she got help from Education Otherwise. I think they have lists of other home schoolers so that groups can meet so that the children aren't as isolated, as well as helping with things like the National Curriculum.0
