DD went in to the "Yellow Room" at Nursery today which as she proudly told me is because she "is bigger" ... my baby has become a "bigger girl" sob
So much for her starting her settling in period on Monday! From the moment she woke up this morning she was telling us that she was going in there ... to the moment she got through the door of nursery ... the poor ladies in the Blue Room felt deserted, LOL.
As a consequence she has only just gone too sleep as she has been so excited!
I'd love to join you all in a drink .. but I'm waiting for Mr T to deliver my groceries and most importantly the OJ for my voddie! Unfortunately it could be any time up until 22:00  .
We had a Wilkinsons open in our town this week, so the 3 of us traipsed around there this evening ... they sell homebrew equipment :j . I bought a bottle brushEeeh, don't tell everyone how exciting my life is!
We also went looking for a carpet for DD's room .... blimey carpet is expensive innit! It's going to cost us around £400. Think I'm now going to go and look online to see if that's reasonable or not.
Right, where is Mr T .... it's Friday and I want a bath!GC - March 2024 -0 -
Good news, Kiwichick, I hope it works quickly.
Taplady, so sorry to hear your news, it is difficult when you don't get on with a colleague.
Feeling fed up tonight. The cardiologist who sent me for the MRI was pretty convinced they wouldn't find anything, it was just a precaution. He said he would writ to me with the result. Finally got a letter today but it's an appointment to see him in a couple of weeks which I caan't help but feel is a bad sign.:(
I wish they'd had baby signing when my dd was small, it would probably have stopped a lot of frustration for her.

Zed, why do you want to share a bath with Mr T??
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
DH has gone out, so mine's a large glass (or 2) of red. Off to find some chocolate. Shez, you got any minstrels left??

I just knew as soon as I hit that "submit" button, I'd be in trouble
And why oh why did you mention chocolate ... when I haven't even ordered any of that, d'oh, d'oh!!GC - March 2024 -0 -
beachbeth wrote:This is typical too! In all the places Ive worked this happens. My hubbie says its true wherever he's worked too. There are just certain people who the Management never dare put upon. They choose more amenable people to upset instead. Annoying!
You've hit the nail on the head there! thats exactly it! I have since spoken to my friend who feels much as I do. We are going to talk to the management about this over the weekend but I dont hold out much hopes.
Trouble is we're just too nice! dont know how to say no most of the time:o :rolleyes:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
kyle wrote:Omg i'm scottish and i have never heard of that word:rotfl: must remember that, my hubby always takes the mickey out of me when i say words like brakfast! he comes from caithness area!
Ds1 now says aye instead of yes, proper scottish loons i've got:rotfl:
I've always said 'aye' so I was glad it didn't stand out when I moved over hereI heard 'stouchie' the other day and wondered what it meant....strange coincidence!
*hugs* to everyone...0 -

Okay, finally finished reading the thread as opposed to posting part way through it
Sorry I'm not going to be able to mention everyone though...
Kiwichick - glad you got something from the doctor, hope it starts working soon.
Taplady - I hope you can get something sorted out at work, its not nice having to work with someone you don't get on with.
PP - your bathroom looks great! I bet the black towels will look fantastic with the flooring.
And if anyone wants chocolate, I've a large bag of revels which I'm willing to share...*hugs*0 -
Evening all! Bit late again today, but at least I managed to get on here. DH kept playing Mah-Jongg (sp?) Quest earlier but he finally decided to go and watch Rebus so I've seized my chance, but of course now i can't remember what most people said!
((((Hugs)))) to Moggins, Kiwichick and everyone who's not well! (Hope your foot gets better quickly, Joannasmum!)
Also to everyone having problems with w**k, thinking especially of Doddsy, Taplady and SnowyOwl Oh, and Scuzz.
Penny-Pincher - love the new bathroom! We bought a new bathroom suite nearly 13 years ago and had the lower half of the walls tiled - still haven't got anything done with the upper half after all this time!:o We've now bought some "kitchen and bathroom" wallpaper as have despaired of the walls ever being painted, but of course they still need preparing and it's physically difficult for us. I'm sure it'll be finished eventually!
MATH - lovely to see you back! glad you enjoyed your summer!
Poshpaws - glad to see you too - I was just thinking of you yesterday and wondering if you were all right, so pleased to know that you are!
Lillibet, I love the idea of the baby signing - I must see if my DD2 knows about it, though DGS is too young yet of course. If she took him to signing classes she'd have to teach me as well, or I wouldn't know what he was trying to tell us when we babysit later on!:D
Taking DGS12yo to get new blazer tomorrow - turns out DD1 couldn't afford to buy him one until her grant comes through in a couple of weeks, but she didn't want to worry us:A His old one was in such a state after a year's wear that she rather rashly threw it away.
Oh well, better go now and think seriously about getting the washing up done (though that doesn't necessarily imply that I'm going to do more than think about it!).
Night all:wave:
