  • PP - your new bathroom looks very snazzy indeed - and with black towels, it'll be glammed up to the max. :)

PP - your builder has done a very good job very quickly, you must be really pleased!!!!

Shez - i use the normal mcdougals flour, i have added baking powder before, but it doesnt seem to make much difference to me!!!! i use 8oz s/r flour, 1oz caster sugar, 2oz softened butter, 150ml (5fl oz) milk, 220 F for 12 - 15 minutes.

    Hi all

Have done beggar all today. What a disgrace.

PP, I must echo what the others have already said - your bathroom looks fabulous - v.smart and luxurious, and practical too.

Ticklemouse, glad to see you back. You sound v.v.busy.

Elona, sorry to hear things aren't going quite to plan. They will get sorted out I'm sure, but I know how difficult it can be to summons the energy when it all could actually have been avoided. Keep up the incredible sulk with OH - he might change his mind regards the attic after a week of cold beans on toast.

Moggins and KiwiChick - just as the others have suggested, I must add my voice...Go to the GP!! I think you both qualify for emergency appointments. You can't be without your hearing, and as for losing your balance, that is too risky specially when you're both likely to at some point be carrying a cup or pan of something v.v.hot around. The sooner you get seen to the sooner you'll get it mended.

    Afternoon,

PP - Blimey that was quick, it wwas just one lad doing it too wasnt it? Fab job, looks really nice. I imagine it will take you a while to get used to but you'll love the new sense of independance it gives you.

I have been ringing the docs all morning, been fobbed off one to many times and have now been promised that if I ring at 2pm I will be given an emergency apt at around 5pm. I hope I do get it as this is getting worse very quickly. I cant hear at all in my right side, it hurts to take a step now and hurts to touch my cheek. Luckily the doc has a pharmacy on site so I can get my antibiotics straight away.

I am meant to have a driving lesson tomorrow from 9am till 11am, do you reckon I'll be OK to drive?

Moggins - my MIL had somehting like a couple of years back. It took a while for them to work out it was somehow linked to the menopause for her. Strange. It was really hard for her to do things being so dizzy all the time, she used to fall over. I hope you get to the bottom of what it is soon.

Right, I have 2 hours before collecting DD from school so I intend to sit around doing nothing :o, will try the warm compress too.

    (((((((((((((((Kiwi)))))))))))))

No you will not be okay to drive. Believe me it takes a couple of days for the anti-biotics to kick in.

I am actually feeling a little better, I got the parents and took them shopping without incident, although I did have to cling on to the trolley a couple of times. I've had a lovely cooked breakfast though and I think it may be because I am overtired, DH has asked me to wake him up at 3pm so I will go and get DD from school, wake him up and then hopefully get him to make tea so I can go to bed early. I think I really need the sleep, although the menopause suggestion is making me wonder as I really do think I'm pre-menopausal. I haven't the foggiest idea what age our family usually hit it at so I'm not sure. So if you don't see me around later I am tucked up in bed catching up on some much needed kip :)

Hi Yall, not much time to post today but I have sort of read the daily thread.

PP's new bathroom caught my eye. I thought I had wandered onto the "Anthea Turner view my palace" website by mistake.;) I seem to remember PP was up there with the best in the 'swankiest kitchen stakes' earlier in the year as well. Where do you live PP - Chatsworth??? Not that I'm bitter or anything:p

It looks great PP but remember accessories are everything, try smearing half a tube of toothpaste around the basin and craft a sticky calpol ring on the windowsill and it will look just like my bathroom. LOL

I've spent the past 2 1/2 hours attempting to chisel out that wood using a screwdrive and hammer. Another 1/2 inch gone - and now I can barely stand up! Still, probably only another 5 inches to go, lol.

Its the only room in the house thats finished. So Mr PP is having serious words in his ear about how 1 bloke completed the bathroom in 1 week and why he hasnt been able to complete 1 room in 4 years;) :o .....poor Mr PP:rotfl:

Hugs everyone and thanks for the nice comments.

Kaz try and put a hole in the middle and pour boiling water into it. Leave it overnight and attack it again in the morning. The water should soften it up a little so you can chisel it out more easily.

Hi, just heed to have a moan.:( boss rang me at home to say that there have been sudden unavoidable team changes at work.My team partner is being moved and I have got a man to work with who I cant stand. My partner was what made going to work fun. We're best friends too. I cant stand the thought of not working with her. Because we work shifts when I'm at work she'll be off and vice versa. I feel devastated, am trying hard not to cry. May seem silly to some but I cant help the way I feel. I made sure the boss knew I wasn't happy but I'm a bit lacking in the confidence department.
Nothing I can do about it.Just wanted to talk to someone.
    Do what you love :happyhear
