PP I posted my eventual version of the recipe in the Christmas support thread & timetable, a bit different from this one but the gist is the same;) Here post 879 on pg 44

Erm......Living in Hope, we arent' doing singing classes, we are doing baby signing classes, like phonetic signing but for babies before they learn to talk. Although it does invovle vast amounts of (tunelessley:rolleyes:) singing nursery rhymes, not quite the same as yours I think?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Penelope_Penguin wrote:Beachbeth, you kindly gave me your recipe for pasta. Do I need special flour, or will regular strong bread flour be OK?
Im not quite sure. All it says in my pasta book is to use all-purpose unbleached flour. Im sure I just used normal flour when I made it (its been ages since I used my pasta machine!) but a lot of cook books mention semolina too? I read a recipe on one website that said to use strong American bread flour, so I would try it using your bread flour, as you said.
Morning everyone else!
Lillibet - this signing sounds really great. I wish they had had that sort of thing when my daughters were little. Im sure it would have helped no end in their development.
kiwi - Your ear sounds quite bad so I would get right off to the doctors. If they have no appointments tell them its an emergency and you can't wait. You really need some antibiotics to sort this out. I have had ear infections in the past and they have really laid me low! Hope you feel better soon.
I am feeling a bit poorly myself this morning. Have a bit of tickle in my throat and feel tired and achey. Need to get my cleaning done this morning though and have a pile of ironing too!

Morning all
Yesterday I managed to do 4 loads of washing, dried on line ... and all ironedGuess who's feeling smug
Also managed to sort out our budget (almost!), so hopefully we can start to sort our lives outWell, y'never know!
I went through our leccy and gas bills for the past year, they're ginormous. I'm already on SP with capped rates, so not sure how on earth to cut them down. Especially as it's the leccy more than the gas that I'm concerned about. How much would you say your leccy bills are a quarter? Ours are nearly £200  We do both work from home all year round, use of T/D has virtually been eradicated, lights are switched off and use of energy saver ones are in place where we can.
I mentioned the other day that I'd banged in to DD's trampoline ... well DH not to feel left out has now done the same, on the same toe!
This morning I haven't got much planned as I'm at w**k, but hey, it pays the mortgage. Have just placed a Tesco's order and surprised myself by discovering that they will deliver tonightBonus!
Right, onwards and upwards.
PS. (((hugs))) to Joannasmum. Ouch, ouch, ouch. I broke my little toe yrs ago by running in to a bed (as you do, LOL) and it was amazing how such a small digit could hurt so much.GC - March 2024 -0 -
Morning all.....((((HUGS))))) to those who need them..........
Moggins and Kiwi.. see the Doc, Moggins, I do not like the sound of your problem, driving could be dangerous, please take care........
Nice bright morning, hint of a chill in the air, just how I like it... OH has gone off to the allotment to see how things are after our little holiday.....we are hoping to do a boot sale on Sunday if the weather keeps up.... the thought of having to get up at 5am is not a pleasing one, but I need to get my kitchen table back as well as the space in my bedroom where two suitcases have stood for 2 months!!!!! We are selling the cases as well as the contents.... they are too big for us to use now, if we went to the US again, I would just take small cases with clothes in and if I needed to would buy one at a trunk sale...... they go for less than $5 for a really big one with wheels.
Have just had a stouchie with my car insurance, renewed the policy in July, still waiting for the documents.... also queried why I had not had the breakdown stuff, as we needed documents for a visit to France, was told that the breakdown did not include Continental cover and that I would have to pay £25 extra, that brought it up to more than I had paid for my old cover, so have switched back....... they did not tell me that continental cover was not included, if they had I would not have changed!!!!!! waiting for a refund now..........also did a mystery shopper in August, still not been paid........ so on to them as well, its cash towards our visit to Paris next month.......
Nothing really planned, need to sort out a white wash to do over night.... also take some cuttings from the geraniums before the frost gets to them....
Off for my caffine fix..................

Morning all
Back at home today to w**k, my training session in Leciester was cancelled yesterday as only one person signed up, wasn't worth going up for that, although I could have done with the petrol money.
I've just had a lovely pack through the door from a gift wrap company offering me £33 worth of stuff for nothing if I return the voucher and sign up to the monthly package, but I'm able to cancel this once the free gift has arrived. :j This will go lovely with the box of hand made cards I bought from Costco a few months ago.
I love wrapping presents up nicely and hand made cards are usually so expensive the pack I bought from Costco was just over £10 for 30 including a sectioned box to keep them in, absolutely gorgeous. :T
DH got the BM out of the attic on Tuesday so I am now getting back into doing my own bread, I love the smell. We went to my mums the other day and she had some on, I'd forgotten how nice it smells and tastes.
We didn't have room in the kitchen when we moved in, but I have persauded DH that the deep fat fryer which hasn't been used for the 6 months since we moved in can go into the attic so the BM can be stored in it place, much better for you as well
Girls those ears sound bad (no pun intended) get them seen to. Moggins, if it is labrynitis (?sp) please be very careful when you are driving, it can come on really unexpectedly, my friend had it and was unable to drive for a few weeks it was so bad.
We're hopefully going to buy a camper van this weekend so DH can use it for his new self employed job (he's just set himself up as a DJ so he can become a SAHD when the LO arrive) and so I don't have to sleep in a tent next time we go camping (which in the summer is every other weekend). We've seen a couple and are going to a VW Van show in Malvern to have a look for somemore, fingers crossed we find one at the right price.
rights thats me for now, must get some w**k done so I can knock off a bit early.0 -
Doddsy (((HUGS))) hope you get things worked out re your job xx
Kiwi, Moggins and Joannasmum - all take care, and hope you are feeling better soon xxx0
