  • Hello again! A tip and a request!

Was searching for Autumn Pudding, as suggested by Lillibet, I think? Found what looks like a nice recipe here:

    http://thefoody.com/pudding/autumnpudding.html

Kiwi, ((((hugs)))). Have you seen a doc?

Beachbeth, you kindly gave me your recipe for pasta. Do I need special flour, or will regular strong bread flour be OK?

  • Morning all, Hugs all round.

Glad you had more sleep last night snowy.

DLB Have you thought about ebay for a cheap banger? We got ours there as we needed an estate car to go camping last year, and it was cheaper than hiring a car. We thought it would last for 6 months or so. Infact we are still driving it around now, as it flys through it's MOT:D It cost me £400.00 with 6 months tax, 16 months ago.:rotfl:

Just got to 'bless' the house this morning, take the little one to playgroup, and then later this afternoon, pick up my stepdaughter, as she is visiting this weekend.

Dinner tonight will be sausages, wedges and beans.

arghh....... Just reallised that the little one has sprinkled sultanas all around the house........for the kittens :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh well another job for me to do then.

    speak later.

    xx

Morning all, page 2 again already

Kiwichick please get to the doctors hun, I had an ear infection 2 years ago and was whimpering with the pain, eventually I went totally deaf in one ear and it took months to get my hearing back. The docs were so good and gave me antibiotics for it.

Hugs to everyone else who needs them especially Doddsy.

I've woken up feeling exceedingly strange and I don't know why, it took me 5 minutes to get out of my bedroom as I couldn't get my balance and kept falling over. I can walk straight now but my head still doesn't feel like it belongs to me. I can't cave in though, I have DD to get to school and then take my parents shopping. I hope it doesn't affect my driving, I will just have to be extra careful. Luckily I'm a very good driver so today I will just be medium and take extra care. (Not bragging but everyone I have in my car tells me how good I am).

Not much else planned as I don't know what time I will be back but today I have to find at least a temporary home for these books as they can't stay in my living room. I'll also try to get a wash on before I go.

moggins, I hope you don't have labyrinthitis. That's another type of ear infection. My DH has had it a couple of times, it completely upset his balance & he was unable to work. take care ,won't you.

Kiwi - sounds like you need a trip to the doctor. Hope you get it sorted out & feel ok soon.
  • Lunch yesterday:

Freshly baked, crusty bread, topped with the sweetest vine-ripened cherry tomatoes, just-plucked tender leaves of basil, and generous shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano...

This isn't just food....this is MSE food. Bread from my breadmaker, tomatoes & basil from the garden, parmesan on offer at Lidl.

    Aaah! I feel rich!

    Good morning

Slept a bit better last night. I think I was only up once during the night. Then didn't wake up again until 7:15 (which is a lie-in to me).

Lovely clear and sunny here today. And there was me thinking the summery days were over

Still got a few things from yesterdays to-do list to finish. Made a batch of banana flapjacks yesterday which has stocked the goodie drawer of the freezer.

We are going to see Patrick McGuinness tonight (of Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy fame). So looking forward to it - have never been to a comedy stand up type thing before. Have booked a table for dinner beforehand as well. Tried to get tomorrow off work so I don't feel like I am clock watching all night but too many people off already :(

Have a great start to the weekend :D
  • Nice one Scrimperjan :j
  • Morning all :D

Not much happening again with me today as I've appeared to loose momentum about doing anything. Maybe it's the change in the waether? Maybe it's becuase we go on holiday in 2 week, lord only knows!

Anyway I've still yet to tackle the spare room but I can't put it off much longer as the new sofa bed is coming on Monday so will have to shake a leg.

Not doing much on the cooking front either lately as I just can't be bothered so last night we had left over french onion soup and pineapple for dessert as I could think of what else to do  I must admit though I am much more of a "winter" cook so no doubt I'll soon get back into it.

    Anyway, enough waffle from me!

    Have a great weekend all

Take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.
