MimiF - oooo, I'm glad it's not just me!
P Princess - Betty Jackson is a British designer, I think she's done ranges for M&S & Debenhams in the past. Costco often has her clothes in. The shirt-dress in question is a lovely heavy drape jersey for about £30 - bargain!0 -
Good afternoon everybody!!
How on earth can this thread be at 4 pages long by half past one???us late-risers have no chance!!!!
Busy day today! It was my :bdaycake: yesterday ( 20:eek: ) so I'm recovering today!!! Went to an all you can eat chinese for dinner and ended up going to a few bars and then to a club:rolleyes: It was a very money-saving night though as it was my birthday and everybody paid for me!!! And because I used to work at the club we all got in straight away without queuing, for free, and had the use of the VIP facilities (ie, bar and seating area to self, plus use of posh, non-vomit-stained toilets!!)
This evening I'm going to a v.posh restaurant with my OH, his parents and my parents... It's the first time that the two sets of parents have met and I'm very very scared!!!! In anticipation of them coming back to see our new flat for a coffee afterwards, I'm in ultra-busy mode today!
Got some ace presents - a food processor, a lovely "retro" pink polka-dot apron, Martin's book, Kim & Aggie's book, flowers & chocolates, money, Clinique vouchers and GHD hair straightners (my two non-OS vanities!!) :T
Have packed OH off to get his hair cut as my to-do list is mahoooosive and I wanted some peace and quiet!!

Back from taking the parents shopping, just having a cuppa now before I toddle into town to take DS to his Dad to get shoes and I have to get labels and toddle round the pound shop.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

That really sounds awful, yes i think you might be better looking for something else you havent sounded happy there for ages now......
having been made redundant last year i know how you feel, being treated awful and singled out, its not nice and there's no need for people do it is there? Some of these so called upstarts need a kick up harris!
Although I was scared to get shoved out, in the end it was the best thing that happened to me, I had had enough and time to move on - so i took some time out regrouped and now back in my new job! as one door closes another one opens as they say......
Dont be hard on yourself, in the meantime, if you have any photos of them/if not sketch a rough one - put it on the dartboard and chuck some darts at it for therapy!!!:rotfl:
Do a list of ten good things about yourself and put it up to remind yourself what a good person you are.
Nothing wrong in working at sainsbury/tesco - good honest days work still, and you can bagsy the reduced goods first!;)0 -
Big hugs Snowy
I too have a terrible line manager and it can really get you down. Little niggly things and being given half the information to do a job so that when you can't complete it they make you feel stupid even though it's their fault you haven't managed to do it.
Probably not much help to know I'm in a similar situation but I DO understand how crap it is.0 -
