Ive just had some really good news, ive been wanting to get a new computer for ages, and was all set to go and spend more money than ive got on a lovely one ive seen, when one of the little ones that i look after, her dad has said he has a computer in his loft, much better than mine, and i can have it!!!!! I dont class myself as unlucky, but im not always a lucky person (i am a happy person tho!!!) so when this sort of thing happens, i feel all emotional and incredibly grateful!!!!
Well, now ive shared that, off to get the HM pizza out the oven, and then im popping up to my friends house with the children for a drink and a chat!!!!!
    Have a lovely evening everyone
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good afternoon!

I've definitely got the temping job. It's general admin stuff at the local magistrates court, so hopefully I'll do well, the agency will be impressed with me, and they'll give me loads more jobs.

I also went into my current job today and said I wanted to reduce my hours to Saturday only, as from week after next. (I've currently on 2 weeks holiday) So I'll probably be moved from Petrol to Checkouts.

So I really need to get into moneysaving now. The job is in the local big town with lots of shops and temptation for me. :A I need to bring my own packed lunch as there will be no subsidised canteen but plenty of starbucks and M&S foodhall. I also have to park in the car park furthest from the job as it is half the price for a full day than the car park that is nearest. IYSWIM.

I'm going to a wedding tomorrow. I have the best man on MSN, and he's still writing the speech. I've just cleaned the car and wiped the windows down with vinegar. It looks good :D

Going to watch perfect housewife in a minute, so have a good weekend everyone!

Phew - that's the week over and done with at work - now onto the more important jobs at home  My house is a bombsite - DH and DD have been at home all week - need I say more ;)

Well we were going to have a roast this evening, but the frozen chicken in the fridge hasn't defrosted yet - so that'll be for tomorrow then :D Instead we are going to have SeeWeed's pork burgers - yum yum :D

I'm sat here having a cheeky glass of wine :D Tomorrow we are school shoes shopping (why have I left it till the last minute  - oh I know I was waiting till payday ;) ) Saturday night I'm going to sew all the labels into DD's uniform with a bottle of wine and my monthly treat of green and black's chocolate :p

Hope everyone has a great Friday evening - (((((hugs)))))

Finally back from town and the kids are lucky I didn't batter them :( XDH dragged me into the pub and bought me a pint of cider when I told him I only wanted a half, I haven't eaten all day and it went straight to my head!

I didn't get the labels as the shop was manic, I have some blank ones and a special pen so I'm just going to use that instead. I managed to find 100 tealights and some curtain rod holders in the charity shop for pennies and managed to find a new fishing reel that DS needed in Poundland. Hypervalue seem to have stopped selling near date food goodies so that was a disappointment but I found a new music shop has opened in town where I can get DH a red trumpet for christmas and it's £50 cheaper than the green one I bought him 3 years ago :D

Hi Everyone - I'm sorry I haven't had chance to read all of the daily thread as we've been to Dan yr Ogof caves, thanks to Moggins :D
We had a wonderfull day yesterday at Techniquest with Moggins and family - absolutely hated saying goodbye... but hopefully not for long ;)

Dan yr ogof was wonderfull, luckily we got there early as it got quite busy.We even thoroughly enjoyed the journey there and back (through Brecon - it was stunning).

We went exploring and also found a load of windfall plums - a whole Tesco carrier bag full!!! I could really do with some advice about them, so if anyone has some knowledge on storing them and making jam I'd aprreciate any help (posted on the disaster plum jam thread).

Snowy - I did pick up from a few posts that things aren't good for you in work so (((HUGS)))) to you. Catzine - I hope you have a lovely time in Cornwall.

Moggins - hia hun. Missing you all buckets - thank you for a fab day yesterday, and for today xxx Sorry to hear your darlings have been winding you up - don't believe they are capable for a minute ;) My eldest is also cross with Hyper Value at the lack of 'goodies' to eat - it was always his favourite shop, lol. I've also discovered a lovely charity shop in Brecon.... I didn't get to go for a lookie round, but if you do decide to venture this way to visit ;)
Well, I'd best attempt to clear a path to the kitchen - now where did I stick that shovel.... :D

  • snowy big hugs! go to the doc and get yourself signed off (paid) and don't go back use the paid leave to find a less stressful job - checkouts or shelf stacking would be great and when you feel better either move up in the retailer of get a new job elsewhere. life is too short too feel this way. good luck
