Thanks for birthday messages...
purpleprincess - we've been together 2 years this month and respective mothers have been nagging at us to meet... I really hope they get on!!
shez - I love being OS and I love my slow-cooker even more!! I can go out and get drunk during the day and have a lovely hot nutritious meal ready for when I roll inSome of my friends made me a "granny" bag as a present - it was a book of OS recipes, a shopping list notebook, a book token, an onion (?!) all in a rather nice cotton shopper
I don't think they realised how pleased I was with it as they'd got it as a joke!!!! :rotfl:
snowy - you sound so unhappy in your current job that I think for your own, and for your family's sake, you need to quit and find another job. Sainsbury's isn't a bad place to work - as others have said, jobs like "checkout chick" (as its known round here!!) are what you make them - if you're friendly and polite then customers will respond - just as they'll respond and complain if you're rude and ignorant! Go for it honey - it can't be any worse than what you're having to go through at work at the moment!0 -
I too love OS and my slowcooker! Wouldn't be without it now!! Well I think it'll be be a while before my dad and his mum meet!! Although dad has been nagging at me!Official DFW Nerd no. 082! :cool:Debt @ 01/01/2014 £16,956 Debt now: £0.00 :j

Snowy big hugs to you. I know how you feel. When you get zero support at work it's so downheartening. Just remember you're better than that and deserve respect.
I'm also having an awful few days at work. Got another week of it I fear. We've got a big staff meeting next week and everyone knows it's going to turn into a big brawl. There's just so much tension here at the moment. Not goodComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

 I feel so F*****g  the housing association do my nut in, I just want to swear so much:mad: I have just e-mailed then telling them that the company and their staff anr incompetent:mad: basically we have had numerous lies tols about us to the HA when we report an incident that happend to us from a neighbour they dismiss it and basically call us liars, we even reported it to the police:mad:  I hate living here I try my hardest to make it 'home' we work hard and come home and watch able bodied people scrounge off the state and get everything they ask for even from the HA:mad:
Sorry I had to rant at someone, the dogs wernt listening0 -
(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) Ageandjo.............rant all you like we will always listern.... do not really have any suggestions for you..........rise aboue it if you can, you work hard and you have your pride.....................it galls me too when I see people using the state system for their own ends and people like us who have worked in my oh's case for 50 years, have to struggle, and when the local council overpaid our Housing Benefit, their error, not mine, they demanded it back and I had to set up an arrangement for them to recover it within the financial year, the fact that it put us in a very akward position had nothing to do with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
