    Good morning all!

PP - sorry to hear you had a bad night, hope you feel better as the day goes on. Glad DD had a good 1st day.
Snowy - best wishes for your job application, perhaps that will help with your sleep problems, too.
dlb - I won't offer you my ironing as well... I really need to get on with some, I am running out of spare bed to put it on!:o
learningtosave that sounds like a lame excuse to me!!:D
Amanda - hope you are able to get an earlier finish today
ageandjo - sounds like your mum will enjoy her new toy!
Aussielass - I watched a programme about 9/11 the other day, was in tears for a lot of it. It was about the little things they had found & returned to families, like peoples wallets etc. One person all that was left for the family was a credit card. It was very moving.
twink - it's amazing what you discover when you get new glasses, isn't it!:D
    MATH - welcome home!
and hello to the dozens of people who have no doubt posted while I have been beavering away typing this :hello:

Hopefully today we can get our new little car:j
The buyer came last night & took away the Discovery, so at the moment we are carless!!!! There's nothing left but the oil patch on the drive, which our friend the mechanic informs us is the normal thing with Landrovers!

Anyway, have a nice day everyone!

Edit: I knew it! Hi Kazonline & scuzz

  • morning everyone.

I feel a bit shattered today, so i think i will be trying for an early night tonight. It was a bit of a manic run around yesterday.

Already, WM is on, DH is making packed lunches, i'm sat trying to wake up. He's too good to me.

Had a run in with my head of department again yesterday, as he was expecting me to have nearly finished the work he has set me to do before maternity leave. He has asked me to finish as soon as possible so he can give me some more stuff. I have loads to do, so i am just going to continue at my own pace and stay out of his way. Plonker.

I should be late tonight as i've got kids staying back after school to do coursework, and i need to visit my friend to give her a birthday pressie, and then pop to shops to get some surprise bits for a brekkie in bed for DH tomorrow morning as its his birthday.

Best go now as i was very nearly late yesterday. Not that i really have anything to get there on time for apart from it will save me a load of nagging i could do without.

Hope you feel better later PP.

    Welcome back MATH.

    Hugs to everyone,
    Michelle, xx
  • Morning all!

Snowy, well done with the application. How long till you hear anything?

DLB and PP and Scuzz and Michelle (and Snowy and anyone else), you need (((((:grouphug: )))))

Amanda, you have an early finish, and some "me time". Sounds like you deserve it.

Aussie, will we soon have pics of your wall? How's the build going?

LTS, sorry about your being stood up. See you on FLC III.

Ageangjo - fresh pesto, to go with my freah pasta. Yes please!

Hi, Twink and Troo and Chipps, have a good day.

Is this Welsh or a typo? :rotfl:

Got my pasta maker, but no instuctions. Sister was no help - suggested getting a book from the library, but I have a tiny local library (she lives in the centre of a big city). So will be off to search for a recipe (there's a recent thread here) but if anyone has any tried and tested recipes, I'd be very grateful.

Off to York today to browse vacuum storage bags. Also to collect a free standing hammock from Freecycle, and some pram wheels for children to make go-kart.

Have a great day all, Penny. x

    Good morning everyone,

I also had a bad nights sleep last night, and im feeling it this morning, so having trouble getting myself moving at the moment. DS and DD are still in bed (stayed up and watched the football) so letting them sleep a little later this morning, but will need to put a rocket up their b*ms later!!!!!
Have to take the car for its servicer and MOT this morning, after ive dropped my 2 off at school, and little one at nursery, we will then have to walk home for lunch and their sleep (2 here today) before walking down to collect the car, and then collect my 2 from school again!!!!! Luckily it looks like a nice day so should be quite nice. Im sure i have loads to do, but brain is still fuzzy, so i cant think now, think i need to finish my cuppa!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Hi ya all,

Not used to this, I'm actually dressed and its only 7.30:shocked:

DD enjoyed her first day at school yesturday and was in bed and asleep at 7.00pm which again is a first. Booked to get me hair done later (shampoo & set, as my mum would say) it will seem very strange not having a little un in toe and must make a effort to eat lunch as didn't bother yesturday as their was only me!

Right off to feed the troops, catch you later, Welcome back MATHS:smiley:

    Take care

    'Morning All

I hope that the day improves for all of you who've had bad starts/nights etc.

It's a beautiful day here and I shall be setting off to do a little retail therapy. Haven't done any for ages and my GodDaughter has just had her 2nd baby so I shall be enjoying looking for baby things!

Hope all the school routines are settling in!

I only realised last night that my washing machine has a timer delay button on it  (obviously must be a slow learner!) so I've set it so that it will be finished and ready to hang out when I get back from the shops!
  • Good morning everyone :j

Another quick post from me this morning. Just had one of those "lasting satisfaction" yoghurts advertised on the telly. (1/2 price from Sainsburys ;) ) They are really filling!!! I dont normally eat breakfast, but for the past 2 days come about 10.00am I'm starving :rotfl:

DD's packed lunch is all made, just got to do her hair (how old are they when they can manage their own  )

    (((((hugs))))) to everyone

    Byee
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Well I don't think my jam is going to set. It's cooled down enough and it still is the consistency of water. :D Would it be ok to re-boil again and will do your test Kaz seeing as you've done it once before. ;) I don't have the energy tonight but will do in tomorrow. I'm cooking Irish Sausages for tea tonight. Never had that flavour before. Will think of you Snowy. :D

PenPen Yes DH is taking piccys on the weekend and by then my computer will be firing. So you will be able to admire it shortly. :p Steel arrives on the 18th  so hopefully it will be a big week following that. I bet there will be another holdup.

Stressed My DD didn't do her hair by herself until she was about 14. But she was a lazy moo. She now does mine. She is a pro with the hair straightener. :D

Cat Hope your car passes it's MOT. We don't have any of that here. :j

Off to start cooking tea. Hope you all have a great day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning everyone

I am also in the feeling tired/not sleeping/generally run down gang. Been like this for a few weeks now and I am sure its to do with my new job. Only 7 more work days tho' and I have nearly a week off :j

    To do list:
    - 3 loads of washing
    - food shopping
    - ironing
    - phonecalls to make.....still chasing those missing Nectar points that I was chasing 2 weeks ago
    - visit bank and post office
    - sort out some paperwork and print out holiday and car parking confirmation for our hols in 2 weeks
    - all rooms to be tidied/hoovered/dusted

Made the infamous fruit cobbler a few days ago for the first time. Mmmmmm. Dunno if it turned out right or not. It was really stodgy but that's what I like :D
    Definately will make that again.

Righty ho really must get a wriggle on.

Have a great day folks :D
