Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
  • Hi Jockettuk, glad to hear your dd had a good day. My ds has enjoyed himself too. He's taking a very superior attitude with his brother and sister though  Think our travel arrangement is going to work well.

Haven't had a chance to catch up with the thread today so hope everyone's OK.

Pen Pen - yep, I'm one happier lassie :D It's great being in college for a few days - it's really giving me a bit of structure, which I need. Another bonus is it's doing something I love, so it's as though I'm having lots of 'me' time.
My DS has gone back to school to study his A levels. Initially he's taking all the sciences and maths, but the plan is to only do the physics to AS level.

Moggins - I know your plan, your going to feed me to those roudy neighbours you were telling us about the other day :D Now put the cards away, hide the purse and get saving for your next visit :D

DD is currently in the bath, whilst I am having a cheeky surf ;)

Dinner tonight changed from pavarotti pasta to sausage plait with chips and beans :o I am soooo tired, my house is a mess, I've got a million and one things to do - and I JUST CAN'T BE BOTHERED!!!!

DD had a great first day back at school today, she loves her new teacher (which is great!!) and is really looking forward to going back tomorrow :T

Quick question (although I think I already know the answer  ) I made some chicken stock on Sunday with the left over chicken carcass, it's been in the fridge ever since :o Do I have to chuck it out or is there a slim chance it might be okay

Better dash DD is getting out the bath.

    (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Hiya All

Just a quick post as only popped on here for a min. Not been on recently as was so busy as had a weekend away and then the back to school madness. DD started senior school and is enjoying it so far but I had to rush out last night and today to get some more 'stuff' which the school hadnt bother to tell us about before - completely blew my budget before I had started.

DS went back to day after much complaining but has I had to rush out to a large town have done nothing in the house - therefore house looks like a tip - ironing pile is once again a mountain, paperwork is piling up all around me and budget is shot.

Oh well hopefully will start getting back on track tom.

Havnt been able to read all the thread (its massive) but hope you are all well - (((hugs))) to anyone who needs them

Well just got back in from footy! And we won 2-1 and DS scored, one proud parent here!!:j :T :rotfl:

But before i went had to call 999, as we have a flat down the road that we have being have alot of trouble with, noise screaming shouting fighting ect.
Well was just getting ready to go to footy and a girl from the flat appeared at living room window and knocked shouting help me! Kids were terified!! So went and locked doors and phoned police who were here within mins, thankfully as kids didnt want to go outside until they arrived.
Was going to walk to footy as it was just down road todays match but kids asked me to drive as they didnt want to walk past the flat.!! So i have had quite a eventful evening so far!!

Hope your all have a good evening, catch you all in morning ( if not later lol):rotfl:

  • DD is in bed:eek:   ...she has never been to bed this early before...but she does look tired:D Today was her first full day and seems everything went ok. She's doing ok with her free school dinners too. Yesterday she had HM veggie pizza and a bottle of a sparkling water and today she had a large jacket spud with cheese and salad, bottle of water and a banana. Her token is worth £2.10 a day and she spent £1.75 today:rolleyes: ..she should be happy with tomorrows cooked lunch as its a roast dinner with yorkshire pud;) ...as long as she's eating...I dont mind:D

We have had to buy a new sink for the bathroom as the council wouldnt pay for a new one and seemed a shame to have a new bathroom with a knackered sink....so £95 spent there but got a toilet included as my BIL is fitting a toilet upstairs once the OT has signed off:o Looks amazing so far though, so am very happy! Have had to put on CC as we have no cash. Everything seems to need purchasing ATM....cooker is on its last legs and DW too:eek:

Gonna go and spend some time with OH.

    Hugs to all.
