Math it's lovely to see you back!

    Loubee ((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

Can someone keep me away from the shops pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease??

I had to go in today to pay dad's insurance. I only planned on staying 2 hours but went 5 minutes over my time and decided that if I was going to have to pay for 4 hours I was going to make it worthwhile. I have spent shedloads and also booked myself in for a perm next week which is going to cost me £60 and I am seriously thinking of cancelling .

I did however get a lovely winter coat for DD for half price from Woolies, got the rest of the Sims add on games for £4.99 each and 2 sets of cutlery from Debenhams. If you're a cardholder and spend over £50 in Debenhams at the moment they give you £15 worth of vouchers back, the cutlery was supposed to be £15 a set but you could buy 2 sets for £20. We've never had anything other than cheapie sets before (the sort that go rusty after 6 months) so I splashed out a bit and got them, 2 sets of vacu bags and a set of loose bottomed flan tins.

That is that! I am not going shopping now until I find out where the local market has moved to as it's definitely not in the city centre where it was supposed to be! Troo, have you got any idea????

    WELCOME BACK MATH!!!!!!!!!! :D

Well my livingroom is now clean, tidy and will remain so for about another hour then I'm out to pick DD up and everything I've done will be undone :rotfl:

Just sat down to a reasonably healthy lunch of a sandwich (wholemeal bread, reduced fat soft cream cheese with onion & Chives), a small bowl (raminkin) of mixed tropical dried fruit and a pint of blackcurrent cordial :) Now the question is, was that my choice or did the CD influence me that much already :rotfl:

Need to go and wash some dishes and get stuff together for DD to make pasta bake for tea  It's only a jar of sauce and the pasta, but I'll put some pasta in a pan as well and she can take pasta to school tomorrow for her lunch ;) She'll be chuffed to bits as yesterday she took HM quiche (my first one and even OH liked it and he doesn't do quiche usually :j ) with potato wedges and today its a wholemeal jam sandwich with a selection of dried fruit & carrot sticks ;) She told me at the end of last term that she was fed up with sandwiches, a chunk of cheese, a piece of fruit & a treat so she's getting lots of different things this year. I'm also going to go and get her a sportsbottle type flask for her bag which will save me a FORTUNE on carton drinks, as well as space in the cupboard :rotfl:

Must go and wash these dishes dishes.gif...

  • Hi all,

It's taken me 45 mins to get up to speed on today's posts. Good luck to all the mini-OSers going back to school today. Glad to hear those that have already started back are enjoying it - that won't last long.

Switched energy suppliers last Tuesday and still haven't received the pack that I was promised by Saturday. Not a good sign as far as customer service goes.

I had a good giggle at the posts re music from your teens. My big brother was into Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd and the like. My oldest sister was a HUGE David Cassidy fan while my older sister was into Stevie Wonder and the Bay City Rollers. Wee sister liked Jimmy Osmond and the Wombles. :rotfl: I went with my brother's taste. To this day I still drool over Tony Banks from Genesis. Have eclectic tastes these days though. Just as likely to listen to Chet Baker as I am to Snow Patrol.

Btw, I'm 1964 so I remember the Spinners, King Singers, et al. Think Chet Baker pre-dates even them!

Oh! Welcome to madabout money too! :hello:

fell asleep on the sofa at around half past five, and was then woken by OH shouting and swearing as he woke up and realised he had overslept! Moved myself back into bed and promptly KO'd until half past 12

Have cleaned kitchen and bathroom and now just relaxing with a bowl of veg soup and chasing up my missing PiggyPoints  Have also subscribed to my magazine and bought my travel insurance for my trip to Spain in :j 15 days :j

On the subject of celeb-spotting I saw trinny and Susannah in Meadowhall on monday. They looked like total h**kers with too much make-up and too much attitude! Not even any cameras around so it wasn't an act, they were just not nice people!!

I'm going to see Robbie Williams on saturday with my MIL :j soooooooo excited!

Rzl - just one more monkey noise before you go :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl: And in answer to your question re firemen's hoses... there's no clean-sounding way to say it because there's no way a woman can possibly be expected to keep her senses and hormones under control in a situation like that ;)

Loubee - I still have a crush on Phillip Schofield :o

    :grouphug: to those in need!!

    Have a good day!!! :)

Yesterday I asked our (female) training manager what I was expected to wear for the course - meaning, of course, is businessy smart-casual expected, or can I go in jeans and a sweater? Her response was that I am free to wear whatever I want in order to impress the hunky firemen - to which I responded that I certainly wouldn't wear anything of the sort except in the privacy of my own home :D

I might refrain from wearing my "Prommers do it standing up" T-shirt though :o
