bargainrzl - Are you standing in the Pit area at the proms? I shall look out for you!
Yes, I will be (though it's called the Arena) - I have an Arena Season Ticket so this is where I am for all the Proms I go to. I should be somewhere in the first two rows so quite visible! :D

Also like Queen (family favourite) and Philip Schofield. Robbie is current favourite so very envious of apprentice tycoon's daughter - hope she has a great time and gets some good photos.

BTW Shez, love the Avatar. I was watching a rubbish film with him in a few weeks ago where he puts on some leather motorcycle pants. Never been that bothered about him before but he really does have a rather fine bottom. My OH was not amused at the time ;)

what film was that? yes he has done a few naff films i admit.

I saw Duran Duran (years ago in heyday) they were fab! i would say one of the best concerts i have ever been to.

penpen - My parents never got me any stuff to do with bands etc either!
bargainrzl - Hope you will be waving a LARGE Union Jack Flag with OS Bargainrzl written on it! so we can spot you! have a good time.

I'm hiding now cos the window cleaner has arrived and it's embarrassing doing all my bits downstairs with a bloke looking through the window. The upstairs blinds are closed so he can't see in. It's funny watching the cats' reaction...the blinds are little bit up from the window sills so they are craning their necks to see the bloke. They look like they are watching tennis.

Is this the sort of excitement that normally occurs in suburbia when the 9-5 army is away....??

Punky, I too am wildly jealous of Apprentice Tycoon's daughter...both because it's Robbie (ahhh screaaaaaam, throw drawers!!!!) and because I'm into photography...

Loubee...sorry to hear about your great Auntie. Big hug to you, and to your Gran as well - it must be so hard to lose a sister, regardless of what age you are.

Moggins - the boys have settled in great thanks. How about your two youngest? What's this about oversleeping?? Can't be true!!!

Pen pen - I've started a thread with those recipies.

Tootles - I get sooo jealouse when I hear you and ageandjo talk about horses! It's my life's ambition to own one or at the very least have one on loan.

  • shez, I'm still around but mainly on the Amazon thread over on the ebay board - I'm currently Feng shui'd up with my indoor fountain, my outdoor fountain, my plants and Buddha all in the correct places :rotfl: :rotfl: I still smile at the daftness of it all but I like them all regardless of if they are doing any good or not.

You mentioned Duran Duran, my DD had a photo pass for their concerts in December too, the photographers were told that they could only work for 15 minutes of the concert as the band would get hot & sweaty and not want to be photoed looking less than cool and suave

  • Hi snowy, she's just about to start a degree in photography and she loves taking photos of live bands.
Last year she took photos of one of Robbies support bands (Orson) the manager asked for her card and put her pix on their website and from then on the band have kept in touch with her and given her passes for their concerts (they were support for Duran) and a huge camera kit bag at Christmas so that was really nice of them. They gave her VIP tickets for the V Festival last month too

I know you're kidding, but we tend not to wave flags in the front few rows as it blocks the view of the people behind. Because (for reasons too complicated to go into) the people who end up near the front are mostly regular Prommers, rather than people who only every turn up for the Last Night celebrations, we have unofficial agreements on certain things like this so as to annoy as few people as possible!

If I make the front row (which I would say is about a 50/50 chance) then I might think about balancing an "OS BargainRzl" placard on the rail in front of me :D;)

I will be wearing a black evening dress with a very sparkly diamante necklace and earrings, and will probably have my hair up - I may or may not be wearing my specs. I might be wearing a pale blue wrap but it's unlikely as it often gets up to sauna temperatures in there!
